Sheik let out a small yowl of surprise and stumbled, then calmed down. He saw what happened, and chuckled softly. "No worries" He sat back down, then sniffed the air. "Huh. I've never been down here before..."

Luhua nodded, sighing as she also sat down, the smell of human blood making her wrinkle her nose. Looking around, her tail-tip flicked once, leaving a small dent in the layer of powdery snow. "Me neither. It smells different down here. Almost like those humans.....But a lot more of them." she said, ears flattening lightly as she peered through the woods, thinking she had caught sight of some light.

Sheik took a deep whiff of the air, and his eyes widened. He stood, staring off in the direction of the trees. That smell....smelt like the fire that took his loved ones...but there was no fire. The smell almost resembled the one that he smelt earlier. He stiffened, eyes extremely wide in shock and fear.

Takani walked gracefully over the snow. She was made to live in this white fluff that covered every inch of the ground. It could be annoying when it packed in-between her webbed snow shoes like paws. It was gross to walk around with ice crunching in your toes. Takani went to put her paw down, but instead of meeting snow it met a warm squirmy bundle of fur. A yowl broke the air. "Mommy don't step on me!" Looking down Takani saw Namir standing under her leg. "Well don't stand in my path." Takani's green eyes glowered down at her cub. There were things he had to learn. A white rabbit flicked it's ears up ahead. Takani caught sight of it and flicked her paws. Her ears focused up a head. "Watch." She whispered to Namir. The cub looked around. "Watch what!!" He yowled. Takani cuffed him with her large paw and looked into his eyes. "Shhh..." Takani stepped forward, stalking after the still rabbit. The rabbit heard her paw send a crack through the icy crust the had accumulated over the snow. it took off at top speed. Takani took off like a barrel and with in a few leaps caught up with the rodent. She picked it up, biting into it's neck but not killing it. It was a big waste of her energy, but a good chance to teach Namir how to hunt. She set the injured rabbit down in front of her wide eyed son. "That's how you do it? That is so cool Mommy." The rabbit tried to move, but Takani blocked it with her paw sending it back to her son trough the air. "Now kill it before it gets away, Namir." Namir started at the rabbit with m his huge blue eyes and then took off after it. He pounced on it and then his instincts told him to bite its neck. He cut his teeth into the warm flesh of it's throat, cutting of it's air supply. Blood covered the little cub's maw opened to revile a panting tongue. "That was so hard! But fun!" Takani laughed and nuzzled her cub with her nose, rigth behind his ears. "Eat up." She said ripping open the fur of the rabbit for her She real needed a deer or a boar. Before Namir was born she had eaten well. But when he was born she had less time for hunting and now that he tagged along he would often scare off all the prey before they got a mile close.

Luhua swallowed, the scents bothering her terribly. "S-sheik. Can we head back to your den now?" she asked, looking at the male, sounding like a cub but not caring. She knew she wasn't a cub, but humans weren't exactly her thing. Waiting for his awnser, she peered into the trees, trying to catch as glimpse of the humans.

Sheik let out a tiny hiss, before looking over his shoulder at Luhua. "Sure." He looked around. So far, he could see no good climbing points on this side of the cliff. Meaning, they would need to find a good climbing point. He started to walk, limping slightly on his right hind leg, the side with all the wounds.

Luhua padded after him, once looking over her shoulder, that feeling of being watched returning. She shivered, the fur along the ridge of her spine standing erect. Licking her lips, the female skittered at the popping noise of one of those long things human carried, along with the painful yowl of a Leopard. "Sheik." she said, frozen to the spot, her eyes wide as she stared at him, wondering if he had heard it too.

Luckas slammed down from a tree, landing hard on the ground, but quickly regained his balance, ears flattening as he took off. He ignored the yowls of the Leopard he had been watching, as it died. Humans. Big surprise. The large male reached the familar cliffside, scrabbling his way into the male's, Sheik's, den, seeing as his territory was invaded with humans.

Sheik continued, only wincing at the yowl. But he knew they needed to hurry. He stopped, looking over his shoulder at Luhua. "Come on, its not safe to stop" He said softly, his eyes filled with sympathy.

Luhua shook her head, as though clearing her mind. "What? Oh, sorry." she mumbled, picking up a trot until she caught up with Sheik, slowing down as she reached him. The female continued, then started to haul herself up the cliff-face, claws pretty useless as she scrabbled.

Sheik stood, watching her for a moment. He looked around, and saw an easier spot to climb later down. "Luhua?" He called. "Lets try climbing over there" He flicked his tail towards the spot, still watching her.
