Tundra walked in silence, her black eyes on the ground as she forced her tired limbs to move. She took a trembling step forward and collapsed, letting out a whining yelp as she did so, twisting her left front paw. She struggled to get up, holding her injured paw to her chest. It was useless, she couldn't get up. She whined at the grass, her injured paw now laying in the grass next to her head.

Tundra tried again to force herself to stand, got half way, only to stagger and fall over again. She gave a whimpering sigh and decided this would be where she lay. "And if I don't wake, I blame you," She growled in the direction of her father's pack before pulling herself over onto her belly to lick her hurting paws. She lay her head on the ground between her front feet and looked around before her black eyes drifted closed.

Lilac's tail wagged and he lead the way from the den grounds. The forest was alive with birdsong this morning and Lilac Smoke's heart was in his throat.

Rose padded along behind Lilac, her light pink fur standing out among the trees and bushes. She pawed at the rose on her ear before she kept walking.

Lilac pricked his ears. He scented elk. He flicked his tail swiftly to tell Rose but before he could a white male was in front of them. Lilac growled and stepped in front of his alpha.

Lilac poofed out his gray fur making himslef look bigger,knowing that he was already huge. He took a step forward and arched his neck, towering over Death. The fur along his spine rose and he snarled menacingly. Lilac Smoke was quiet, but when the circumstances were right he could be a fearsome enemy.
