And also, yes, I too pretend that my bike is a horse. Once I tried tying rope to the handlebars and using it as reins. It only worked for neck reining, and I nearly fell off when I tried it the other way. But yeah, I pretend my bike is Henry when I can't ride.

I tried posting to the trot, (even though I'v never ridden english before) over a bumpy road.
Needless to say, it didn't go so well. P:

Same here. I'll list colors, age and breed if known, and skills (if Applicable) 'Cause I'm bored.

That is alot of horses. My stable has kind of two ends- the front end is all the show horses and boarder's horses that are the arab show horses. Back end is mostly lesson horses and ponies, and a few of the other boarders that aren't arab show horses. Right now, there are 9 school horses, then 4 other boarders at that end. One of the boarders is owned by a girl that has special needs, another is still getting training, he is a arab-appie mix, but his owner isn't really into the whole showing thing. Then there's two new boarders, this horse named Sir, he looks like a TB or something, not sure though. I only met his owner briefly. Then some little girl's (10ish years old?) old fleabitten arab gelding. In the front end, there's 12 horses that are either boarders or owned by the stables, all but one of them is an arab show horse, and the other one is a tb warmblood mix dressage horse (he's absolutely gorgous! and the biggest horse in the stable) There's also, around the back of the stable, a kind of mini-barn attached to the arena, it's for the self board horses. There's 2 there at the moment, arab show horses, but there's a paint mare that comes and goes.

So in all, there's 27 residents there right now. During show season, there's often at least one of the arab show horses gone at any given day, they go all the way into the southern states or across the country for shows.

The arabian is too far away for a lease. >< But there is a young Hunter type Appy mare for lease REALLY close to here, and she is trained in hunt seat eq and pleasure! I emailed her. <3 Excited.

Gah. I'm only able to work 2 hours a week at the barn, dang it! >< I get $7.25 an hour for simple things like turnout, poop scooping, scrubbing buckets, etc. I didn't want to sign up for stalls, because you have to be fast and efficient. My stall technique is... lacking, and you only get $1.25 a stall.
After working 4 hours I can get a hack, and after 7 hours I can get a private lesson. :3

Funny, since many many people have horses. But then again, you never see anyone riding....odd.

Our barn has 17 horses that I can ride, but only three that I use on a regular basis, Henry, Judy, and Merlin. Henry is nearly my horse because he acts stupid with everyone else, I work Judy because she loves me for some reason. Like, if anyone else tries to bridle/saddle/fly spray her, it'll take them 10 minutes and she'll be all freaked out afterwards. With me, it takes 2 seconds. I'm also the only person who can spray Henry or get him to canter. I ride Merlin when I have to. He's my friends horse, but he's also a guide horse, so I use him when she's not.

I think the barn I ride at... has 75 horses in total. It's a REALLY big stables, and is really popular.

I didn't run into another rider today,but I rode with my sister a bit.I can't wait until we have large groups on riders,fun times<3 I guess because one,it's fun,and two because when cars pass it looks like we know what we're doing xD

Not sure if any of you saw this. I had another idea, I want to try and make one that is 'why we love horses', so I was wondering if you could do me a favour.

Why do all of you love horses? Why do you love riding?

I'm going to take all of your answers and turn it into one of these wordles, and maybe make it into a banner that we can use, or something.
