James looked at her, "Your father is dead." he said softly.

Flower stared at James in shock and disbelief. "No," she said, shaking, "He can't be," she murmured, glancing away from James, crying, not caring if the others knew. Leaning against the wall, she struggled to compose herself, hating to cry in front of anyone.

James tried to comfort her, he hated to be the one to tell her but she deserved to know.

Flower looked at James and nodded. "Thank you," she murmured, swallowing. Closing her eyes, she remembered something that might be important. Blinking, she dug into her pockets looking for it. "I got something from him before I came here," she muttered, her voice chocking. "It said not to open until I had news, he was dead," she told James, finding the small envelope.

James nodded, he looked at the envelope, "Open it then." he said softly.

Flower nodded and opened the envelope. Seeing her father's handwriting, she looked down unsure if she wanted to show James.

This is what the letter said:

To Flower

You know I'm dead and probably have been for a couple of days. I'm sorry I didn't contact you as much as I should have. I had to deal with my job and couldn't take care of you, so I put you up for adoption. Your my only heir since your mother died, try to keep the necklace she gave you, dear, it is special to our family and contains important information, keep it close to you at all times. I'm sorry again Flower.

Flower sighed and bit her lip to try to control her emotions. "You want to see it?" she asked James, shaking, clearly upset.

James shook his head, "Its yours, keep it safe and close, only show it to those you trust."

"Alright," Flower muttred and reached to finger her necklace to make sure it was their. Feeling bare skin, she frowned and looked at James. "It's missing," she muttred, flinching slightly.

James looked at her, he took the necklace out of his pocket and handed it to her, "Sorry I didn't give it to you earlier."

Flower sighed and smiled, "Thank you," she mumbled, wondering what information it hold. "It's fine," she replied, gentle grabbing the necklace, and putting it around her neck. "I wonder why the other side want it so much," she said, sighing softly.
