Sheik flattened his ears, and looked at Luhua "Kinda odd, isnt it..." he got nervous, glancing around. Why was it so quiet? He strained his ears, but heard nothing. He stood slowly, peering over the edge of the cliff.

[bonjour.]

Luhua nodded, ears flicking back with uncertainty. She rose to her paws, looking side to side, tail raised in a defensive stance, though nothing was there. It seemed as though everything was frozen except for her and Sheik. She couldn't even seem to detect a familiar scent in the air, beside her's and the male's. "This isn't right, Sheik. Something's wrong." she whispered, her voice cutting across the silence like ripples in clear water.

Sheik leaned even more over the edge of the cliff. He pinned his ears. It was silent, but there was a very sharp scent over the edge, hidden in trees. It hurt his head. He was focusing so hard he didnt hear Luhua. Suddenly, there was a loud snap, and Sheik was gone. He was really standing on ice, which broke off from the cliff, sending Sheik plummeting down. Sheik let out a yowl, eyes wide.

Luhua yowled in alarm as the ground under Sheik's paws fell from under him. "Sheik!" she called, and without thinking, launched herself over the cliff, landing hard on all four paws. The female bounced down, trying to reach the falling male.

Sheik ALMOST saved himself from falling, but he slipped, and fell, backfirst. He saw Luhua jump, and he let out a yowl. "Luhua!" He called. He suddenly flipped himself, and clung to an edge, his claws digging into rock. He winced at the pain, but held on, dangling from the small rock ledge.

Luhua wanted to sigh in relief, but Sheik was dangling, and she was going too fast to slow herself down. Unsheathing her claws, the female attempted to dig them into the snow, which was too slippery to give her a grip. She lashed out at the small rock Sheik was on, missing, her paw trailing after her as she tumbled over her head. A yowl died in her throat as she landed on the ground, loose ice balls and snow falling against her body.

Sheik stared, wide eyed, at Luhua. This didnt happen..he thought thoughts like this. His heart felt like it had stopped beating. He let go of the cliff, hitting the ground, and growled. But the snow had actually cushioned the fall slightly. He pulled himself up, running to Luhua "Luhua?!" He asked, scared.

Luhua flicked her tail tip in a weak attempt to a response to Sheik. Her blue eyes were open, with a slight glaze to them, the distant forest looking like three times the amount of trees. The first thing that hit her was, she was freezing, as usual. But, for some reason, the cold came before the pain. Or, it could of been due to the fact she was so cold it numbed her injured body to the point of where she couldn't feel the pain.
