He shrugged. "I don't know. Syrup made from corn?" he suggested. "Doesn't sound very appetizing, but I'm starved."

Arya made a face. "Look, over there. There is really food." She pointed to the deli, filled with meat. "And bread is over there."

Bilbo, feeling very disoriented, wandered aimlessly among the odd, square buildings in search of some sign of where he was. He didn't like the way they looked; they were completely rectangular blocks, strict and imposing. He missed the rolling hills of The Shire and the cozy warmth of his hobbit-hole.
He saw two figures inside one of the buildings and hobbled inside, hoping they would know something. "Hello?" he called cautiously from the doorway.
