Yep, the movie in 2009 was newest. It was an alternate universe with the same characters as TOS.

No, Leonard Nimoy was "Spock Prime", aka Spock from the future. He traveled back in time and met with his younger self.

I reallllly wanna see that new Star Trek movie! I loved the old one! Lookin' forward to this! Definitely gonna see the next movie in theaters. Possibly 3-D. Although 3-D movies seem so rippoff-ish to me... anyone know when this new movie's gonna come out?

That's fine, @ Remember 9/11. I forget stuff a lot.
Oh my gosh, Ulysses, i hope they put it in 3D. It's coming out in 2012. No month or day but my guess is end of summer to mid-fall.
