Avalbane smiled and she sat down. Her hand had stopped twitching, but her left hand still clenched open and close. She gazed at the numeral on the back of it. It look bolder. As if it had be run over with a black marker. It no longer glowed, but she always felt a faint tugging at it. She sighed, wondering faintly where Ezio was. She shut her eyes, trying to concentrate on the crackling of the flames and the soft swish of the trees outside. Slowly, she felt herself slipping away as she was pulled into a light sleep, her hand still clenching and un-clenching. It was strange. She could sense everything when she closed her eyes. The strong pulse of the earth. The organisms in the leaves of a tree. The animals heartbeats as they romped through the woods. She heard a faint breath escape her lips as she slept. She was fully aware of everything, even in her sleep. That is because while you sleep, I remain awake. The demon in her head said quietly.

Lero grinned slightly and he moved aside so he could pass. "I hate it when creatures younger than me are right, but you make a point. Alright." He grumbled, a hint of humor glittering in his eyes.

Ezio flashed a grin. "All part of the fun." He replied and opened teh door. The rush of warm air hit him as he entered the house and he blinked. The scene looked like it had been awkward, at least for Brie and Avalbane. Altair just looked annoyed but he saw his finger twitch in relief as he entered. Ezio winked at Avalbane but went to Altair and flexed out his blade. Altair didn't even look at him he continued to stare at the floor.
"Wake up brother." Ezio mutter and swung his blade with lightning speed, they often surprised each other like this to test reflexes, they never really hurt each other. A sharp shrill ring of metal on metal echoed through the room as ALtair had unsheathed his blade and blocked Ezio's blow in a fraction of a heartbeat.
"Maybe next time, bambino." (little boy) ALtair responded and moved his blade swiftly in a circular motion to fling Ezio's out of the way and pressed it to Ezio's heart in a flash. Ezio grinned and bowed in defeat. He'd only beaten Altair once and that was when they were supposed to be having supper with Rafiq, but it turned into a training session.

Lero snorted and he moved back, resuming his duty at guarding the house. He couldn't see Sicarius, but his smell tugged at his nose.

Avalbane let out a faint sigh in her sleep as she heard Ezio enter. She wanted to speak, but couldn't move. Her whole body was asleep while her mind remained awake. Let your body rest. I can make your mind rest as well, child. Which way? Death or just a simple sleeping spell? The demon joked. it had a weird sense of humor. Sleeping spell would be nice, thank you very much. I already died once today and don't plan on dieing again anytime soon. She snapped back. Slowly she felt her mind being pressed lightly by a haze of sleep and she let it. Though she was dimly aware of the fact that if, need be, the demon would lift the spell instantly and allow her to wake up.

Ezio watched as Avalbane fell asleep and he remembered why he'd come inside. "brie, I'm going to go ahead and fix myself something to eat." He whispered over the silence, though he doubted Avalbane would be waking up anytime soon. He stole into the kitchen and eyes a loaf of bread and some of the vegatables she'd used for Altair's soup. He grabbed a half a loaf of bread and the leftover vegatables, his hunger driving him crazy. He came back into the fireplace room and took a bite of bread, the familier fluffy texture reminding him even more of his homeland. He washed it down with a slice of tomatoe. "Mmm." He noised in delight. He loved food.

Altair eyed Ezio with light eyes as he came back inside and made quick work of his meal. They were trained not to linger with food, you never knew if it was going ot be your last meal. Food also dimmed your senses while you ate it, making you a prime target for an attack. He moved to the couch opposite Avalbane and sat down, his body still drained from fever.
"I'm sending a letter to Malik." Altair spoke as Ezio chose to sit next to Avalbane.Ezio gulped down his last mouthful and nodded.
"I was about to do the same thing." he paused. "Rafiq seems to know we're alive though, he told me to kill Avalbane earlier to save her from that demon." Altair almost flinched at the memory of Maria at Ezio's words. Other than that he just nodded. "Good, another portraitto add to your wall." He laughed and Ezio gently chuckled, careful not to stir Avalbane.

Avalbane saw her old master. Her old old master. Kenski. She remembered how he used to bow his head when he thank and how he used to clench his fists as well. She had liked training under him but when the Dark Elves had come and taken her as their own, she had had to adjust and forget about her old master. Her new master had been by far, crueler and stupid. Her left hand clenched again and unclenched.

Ezio glanced at Avalbane as she slept and something seemed to be troubling her. Her hand kept clenching into fists and he was a little worried, afraid the demon might be at work inside her. He didn't wake her though she seemed extremely tired.
"She can handle herself, King Charming." Altair spoke gravely and Ezio turned his head sharply at the joke, unnerved by Altair's tone.
"You need some more sleep to it seems." Ezio retorted, no smile on his lips. Altair's mouth twitched. He rested his heaad on his folded hands; deep in thought. Ezio could see his eyes trying to stay focused. "Get rest brother, take advantage of sleep while you still can." He spoke quietly, eyes softening at Altairs determination to stay awake. THe seconds passed without reply and Altair's breathing almost stopped. Ezio felt another glimmer of envy, wishing he could shut down like either of them could.

Sven stood by Nightingale, looking rather bored. He watched as his magic formed into a small, harmless little dragon. It squealed, and the magician sighed. "I'm bored," he grumbled to his nearby friend. Lolimar looked up with a smile.

"Not my fault you lost Ragne," he hummed before feeding a slice of flesh to the horse.

Alura stopped, and looked back to Elanor. "Now I'm hungry...should we go back to the mansion?" She asked.

Jun shrugged. "Meh. He's independent, that's for sure." she said.
Riku approached Shanaya and Jun. "Miss me?"
Jun growled under her breath. "Where have you been?"
"You worried about me? I guess I'm irresistable." Riku said. He couldn't let Jun or anyone know about his otherside. And he'd have to wait 'till she was sleeping to stab her. But of course, she had to be living.
Jun ejected her needles and was about to stab him, but was held back by Lyla's tail. She calmed down. "Sometimes, I wonder why I dated you. But you can be a charmer at times. But don't don't push your luck."

Alura nodded, and looked around at the trees with green auras. She imediatly remembered the way, and the horse started galloping.

They both looked back to Shanaya, and nodded. "It's getting late. We should find the bridge soon."He said, looking at the path ahead.
"Alright." Jun said. She started running.
