I'd say it's slightly unfair to them...but I'm not that good with the Nick Cake dogs.

How about this?

The first one is fair for the pink dog (the black and red swirl dog is fair for the pink), but I wouldn't accept the trade for the rare.
The second isn't fair. Nicks, even rare ones, aren't generally in demand and as such aren't really considered worth trading rares of other species for. They should either have a dog rare from near the same time, a later dog rare and two or more uncommons, or a different species rare from about the same time with at least three uncommons, or a later different species rare with at least two uncommons.

I agree with Snow entirely. That dog is definitely hard to find.
