I have patience with people and their questions so i can help them out.

9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:

I have alot of patience, so i won't be nasty or rude to anyone, but I can be strict. I'm also very kind, friendly and I get along with others fairly easily. Also, I like to help others and answer questions and helped them when they need it.

Maddyoll's Application to be an Oekaki Mod~♥

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
Tue May 25, 2010 8:28 pm

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
1929 (1930 counting this one... I spend alot of free time on here ^^)

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
EVERY day, no matter what happens I'll be on CS somehow :3
I've never been away from CS tha more than two days when I was out camping and there was no wifi >.>

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
At least 2 1/2 hours - 4 1/2 hours, usually browsing different art places, ordering art, drawing, etc.

5. Have you moderated on any other forums before?
If so, please link to them Yes, But I lost the links ^^ Sorry </3 But if you count CS topics I have modded on at least 10 if not more :3

6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Millions of times (even though I'm not that good... >>)

7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
All the time. More than 2/3 of the time I'm on here I'm looking at art!♥

8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
*Ooooh Importance*
Brace yourself... This will be long...

Oekaki modding. I have stalked the mods, menotred, and much more to perpare myself for a moment like this. There really is no reason why I would not want to be an oekaki mod, I love art and I think I've mastered chibi paint (Oekaki software) and have loved to invite friends to color and such. I think that it would be a lot of fun to be an oekaki mod, and there will be a stop to all this art theft. I strongly believe that I will be able to keep the spam off, clean up the boards, and polish them to perfection.

I've seen alot of bad things happen to innocent users including many forms of art theft and bullying about their art. My goal as an oekaki moderator is to help everybody in need and to inforce the rules with kindness and respect.
(By the way, I had wrote this as being alot longer, but I figured I had better shorten it alot, as it was over 500 words >>)

9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
As I have mentioned, I have trained lots of my friends to use the oekaki, showed them the ways of it, and I often use it myself. I think I can bring my somewhat assertiveness to this job, and I can also code a bit for help in making the art transparent and such.

I noticed that only Fiery Gatoh is *the only* Oekaki Mod. I would love to help out, and possibly work with Gatoh someday :3
Thank you all so much!

Applying
1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
Thu Sep 23, 2010 4:56 PM.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
This will be my 469th post.
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
As much as I can now that school has started for me. But if I get the job I'll try to be on everyday.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Depends. If I have to do stuff, go places, homework ect. But I'll be on a ton on weekends.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No...
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, a few times. But I'm on another website that I have way more drawings on, so I'm familar with it.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Sometimes.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, I'd never think I'd ever get the chance to become any moderator and I would be honored with any job on CS. It's not for the custom pets or become a artist, though I'd be amazed if I did. I just don't want people to get offended or hurt. No one should cyber-bully anyway. So I'll do anything it takes to maybe stop art-theft, because how would they like it if someone stole all their art? Plus I don't like to see people sad, but I love to see people's drawings.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
Um..I'm not sure

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: September 26, 2009
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 1,140
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? six or seven
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? About 3-4 on weekdays, 8 on weekends
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? Yes. I moderated on a few sites, but they were all shut down :(
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, usually 1-2 hours
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I want to be a moderator to help out others, and keep the site healthy. I have recieved two art theft warnings before, but both were from when my cousin hacked into my account. I hope to prevent art theft, because the way I see it, whether you're stealing a car or a dollar, stealing is stealing. As a Oekaki Mod, I hope to become familiar with more members of the site, and help toward its expansion.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position. Yes, I can. I am a Counselor Aide, Office Aide, Life Management Aide, and a Language Arts Aide. I also have an aunt who is a judge, and she is more like a mom to me than my mom.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

Every day I check in at least once C:

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

usually 2-3 hours, but on school days it's less because of homework and such ^^;

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

I haven't officially been a mod on any threads (that I can remember) but I do try to help whenever I can :]

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

Yes, yes, and yes! ^o^ When I used to use a mouse to make art, Oekaki was my best friend xD It was so simple and easy to use that it became my favorite art program!

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Oh, yes; I find it really inspiring to see all different kinds of art from aspiring young artists C:

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

Well, I guess it would be because it'd be a massive privilege to be a part of the CS staff and to be able to help other users. Art is a huge part of my life, as is CS, and to be able to take part in making sure everything is ship-shape on the Oekaki forums would really mean a lot to me ^u^ Of course, even if I'm not given this privilege, I will continue to try to help those who need it <3

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?):

I'd like to think that I'm a generally calm person, and that would help in dealing with certain users who break the rules. I feel that I have enough self control to reply in a responsible, adult manner :]

Thank you for your time and consideration~

{My Application - communication}

Postby Wlyrout » Sat Sep 03, 2011 10:45 am

MY APPLICATION - communication

What date did you register as a CS member?:

I registered Saturday January 29, 2011 at 8:36 A.M.
Though I am aware that I may still be considered a 'newbie', I have learned to love Chicken Smoothie and all of it's members. I would never dream of acting immaturely or be purposely mean to anyone on CS, so in no ways I act as some imagine a 'newbie' to behave. I have also found that in seven or so months that I've been here, I have learned a lot. I'm no longer clueless when trading or posting messages, so I have knowledge of what others expect to be fair.

How many posts have you made in the forum:

523, five hundred and twenty three. 524 including this post. Most of my time on CS is spent browsing rather than posting, but I always try to step in and sort things out if two members are caught in a disagreement or if anything bad is taking place. Of course, I also post on any threads that I find interest in. You'll mainly catch me around Intermediate, Beginner's, and Sketches and Experiments on the Oekaki board. But I also pop up occasionally in role plays and in Adults Chat 18+.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

On average I am on Chicken Smoothie five to six days per week, and four on a rare occasion. I frequently stop by to check on the topics that I have posted on, and that takes place several times throughout the day. Of course, if I became part of the Chicken Smoothie staff, I would probably be able to get on all seven days a week. : -) My schedule is very busy with a new school and several others clubs that I have joined. If I'm needed, though, I'm sure that I can come to the computer for at least a couple of hours.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

I will spend an average of 4-10 hours on the site, though of course this number may be increased if I was "upgraded" to become a CS Staff member, or if there was any problems with the Oekaki systems or boards.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.

Unfortunately, I have not moderated on other websites before, though I feel that I have the experience necessary to deal with the art theft and other mistakes members may make on the Oekaki board. I'm mature enough to handle any outbursts, though still will strive to be polite no matter what. I have, however, created several personal websites for myself and my friends. I've also created several threads and moderated many more on FooPets.com, where my username was Splinachz. Now my friend owns that account.

Have you ever used the CS Oekaki to draw?

Though I am not much of an artist, I do use it occasionally. I believe that it is a great program and a good experience to communicate with other Chicken Smoothie members, though it must be used correctly and responsibly. I have grown as an artist very dramatically since my last use of ChibiPaint, so I may be returning to test it out once again!

Do you ever spend much time browsing the Oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Oh, of course! There are so many wonderful artists out there! : -)
There is so much talent in our little community. The Oekaki boards are a great place to visit. Some of the art pieces carry so much feeling and emotion. It's great that people can express their feelings through the site, whether beautiful 'vent' art or the happier, funny style. It's a great way to relax: staring at the computer screen, watching as more and more pieces of art get uploaded. Sometimes I'm refreshing every second just to see if there is any new artwork to comment on! I'm so happy that art and the Oekaki is such a big part of Chicken Smoothie. I've never seen or heard anyone complain that it's there.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an Oekaki moderator for CS?

I feel that becoming a moderator on the site would make me a more responsible person, as well as really help me with my "people skills" on and offline. Enforcing the rules is something that I'm very good at, though I try to be kind too. Leading the way with a firm yet gentle hand is always the best. I understand that I may get rude messages or remarks on different topics, and that they may get very severe. I will always try my best, though, to put myself in their position and realize that what I may say might be hurtful.

I am also looking to guide members in the right direction and help them in following the rules. Keeping CS a clean, child-friendly site is obviously not an easy task, especially with the amount of members it has, but I'm determined to help in every way I can. Plus, I just love Visual Art in general!

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?

In real life I am constantly sorting out arguments and fights between my peers. Several have come to me for advice, and they know that I'm always willing to listen to there side of the story, no matter what others have claimed. I believe that I could easily incorporate the skills that I have gained from this into moderating.

Thank you so much to Tess and anyone else who may be taking time out of their schedule to read these forms. I can't wait for the 'winners' to be announced! I wish good luck to everyone.

~commie

APPLICATON
What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
August 29, 2009
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
831
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
7 days a week
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Schooldays:4-5 hours Weekends:10 hours
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
Nope. ^^
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, I just don't usually draw on their often. I do have a tablet and most of my work is inspired by the great artists on Chickensmoothie.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I love looking at the art on the Oekaki's, and providing constructive commentary on people's work in the Intermediate Board.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I would like to be an Oekaki Moderator for many particular reasons, one is that I have a lot of downtime on Chickensmoothie and I am always looking for ways to help people out with things they need done, or providing helpful information on things. I also love poring over people's art and deciding if it's appropriate, and if they have listed their ref's and whatnot. I have always wanted the opportunity to Moderate, because I have always seen the other Mod's cleaning up shop around the site and keeping things and hand. A lot of us on here look up to our Moderators, and when they have to deal with flaming they are always kind and polite, I would just adore to be like them and keep the boards clean and tidy.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I have had experience dealing with the pressure of people yelling at me and flaming me, I am not particularly bothered by it and always answer in a calm and collected manner. I also love reading through comments on the artist's work and seeing if they are all CS appropriate and posted in a friendly matter. Also Google Images is my home, I know just about every image on their, and If someone has not posted their refs I can easily direct them to what they need to be doing. Drama strikes me as hilarious and it does need to be dealt with and I can am always on sending fast private messages and responding to them quickly. I am also an unbiased person and I always look at both sides of the matter at hand, I also speak with proper grammar and punctuation.
One more thing is that I have experienced bullying online and off, I know what it feels like and I do not wan't anyone else have to feel that pain.

Thank you guys so much for another opportunity for Moderators!
Have fun as an artist Leurai, we are all waiting to see what new things you come up with!

What date did you register as a CS member?: April 4th.. I think that's exactly 6 months, I hope it's ok.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): about 350 or so posts but I don't know exactly
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 24/7 unless something important is going on
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 5-6 sometimes 10 or all day if no ones around.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them I don't believe so.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I love helping others and i think it would be fun i don't like fighting and i love to settle matters right by saying sorry for whatever i did and that's really all i can do and wait to see if they are to. I also like settling matters between friends. I think i can make a good Moderator.

I love art and sometimes i look at some art and say "how did they do that." I love drawing to, usually i just draw lines (pencil and paper) but sometimes i like coloring it in to. I love all the colours and how it shows a lot how people feel.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) Yes, I think I'm good at bringing a fight to an end so that mainly everyone's is happy but sometimes i can't make everyone happy and that's just the way it goes, but i try to do my best because i hate it when people are mad.
