What date did you register as a CS member?:
Sunday, December 26, 7:47 PM [Mountain Time]

How many posts have you made in the forum:
3084, and counting.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
Every day. If I can't get on it would only usually be one or two days because of Internet problems, but those are rare to happen.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
Weekdays: 8 hours. Weekends: 8-13 hours. I'm usually on my iPod/laptop if not on my Desktop.

Have you moderated on any other forums before?:
No, I have not. But, I do occasionally look through threads on CS to find any users violating the rules, to report them. It's nothig official, but I do know what I'm doing.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
At least once a month, but I do visit the Oekaki Forms almost daily to look at other's work.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
Yes of course. I often find myself clicking 'Veiw Gallary'. And when I'm online, I do of course click the Oekaki button to browse through the drawings. I exspecially do this when I have art block, or just want to see a good picture.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:
Well, a month or so after joining CS I really enjoyed helping people. I see alot of newer members need help around the Oekaki boards, and I would simply love making it official for myself to helpthose people. Another reason is that I do not appreciate art theft at all. I can honestly say I can spot that kind of design thefts, or even image thefts, since I am almost always on art websites browsing through the gallery.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:

    • I have excellent grammar.
    • I do not get offended easily, with this I rarely get offended.
    • I can stay very calm in arguments, very calm.
    • I can speak some-what fluent Spanish and German.
    • I am often on art websites, and can spot Art Theft very easily. I've actually caught a few members trying art theft on CS.
    • I am a very organized person.
    • I enjoy art in many cases, therefore I am often on Oekaki, weather it's just to browse or browse while I'm waiting for a reply on a RolePlay or some other topics.
    • I know what I am doing, and am sure I won't ask millions of questions.
Over all, I think I'd be a great choice for this possition. I can honestly say, I am filling this application out for a reason, that reason is to help CS a litle, or even a lot, out. It would be amazing for me to become offical, but even if I don't, I know I'll still held Chickensmoothie by reporting any problems, like a loyal member would do.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
September 12, 2009
In 10 days I will have been online for two years c:
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3,174
This post will make it 3,175
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Unless on vacation, every day for multiple hours.
However, we will be on vacation for possibly a week in October, but there is still a good chance I will have Internet Access c:
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Somewhere between 1 1/2-4 hours.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them;
Well I currently own a site that is open but will be inactive until I get a few linearts c:
I was also a mod on this site before it closed due to inactivity c:
I have also mini-modded some threads here on chickensmoothie, and I can list them if required.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes c:
I used to use it a lot more than I do now, but there are a few projects I am currently working on in Oekaki c:
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I do this at least twice every day.
I love to see all of the artistic talent found on chickensmoothie~
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

  • I have been addicted to chickensmoothie since I joined, it would be an honour to work for the staff.
  • It will help me gain experience for my future jobs as a Moderator, whether for a small thread or a large site.
  • I take time to look at the art. Not just a quick glance, but questions alike to 'Do these lines look familiar? Are they heavily referenced or traced?', and 'Was this design stolen? Who owns this design? If they don't own the design, are they giving credit to whomever does?' run through my head while looking at art from scratch.
If I'm looking at Adoptable Oekaki or Competitions, questions such as 'Do they own this lineart? If they did not make this lineart, did the owner of the lineart's rules allow them to use the lineart for adoptions or competitions?' will appear.
  • I absolutely despise art theft, rudeness, harassment, & bullying. I will do almost anything to keep it from happening.
Almost because I have no moneys to purchase an airline ticket to fly out to New Zealand if things get really bad, which I don't think they will considering the excellent job the staff do here on CS c:
  • Being part of the staff on chickensmoothie would help me to be more active here on chickensmoothie.
  • I can be calm & mature in all situations. If the situation requires me to be strict, so be it.

Overall, I think I might be be a good choice as an Oekaki Moderator, because I will be mature an responsible of my duties. I will take everything I'm told into consideration & I will be polite but strict to those who break a rule/rules.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I'm not really sure this is a skill to mention, but I am currently in a Public school, which allows me to meet new people as often as each month.
I have had positive & negative experiences with different types of people each time, but more in-depth than most users will ever have here online.
I have dealt with some pretty vulgar stuff in my life. I do not take offense to anything over the Internet considering most of the people I will come in contact with will have no idea who I am.
I am familiar with all chickensmoothie rules & general rules of the use of forums, and most times I can easily tell if a piece of art has been thefted or not.

I was wondering about sharing an account? I share an account, but I noticed Tess replying on the general helpers applications that if both members on the account applied and they were both chosen the account could still become a mod?
I know that the person sharing an account with me has an big interest in art and would want to apply, so would that be alright?
Thank you

What date did you register as a CS member?: November 19th 2008

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 2587 (Would be a lot more but when I bump one of my own topics a lot and no one else posts I delete all my bumps so it doesn't look so ignored)

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday of the week. Occasionally I don't get online on Saturday because that is the one day of the week I tend to go out with friends, but even then it's likely I'll check in on here and see how things are before I leave and depending on how long I'm gone that day I'll check back in when I get home before bed.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Oh jeesh, I spend way more time on here than I aught to. If I got this job it would at least make sense how often I'm online. I'm usually logged in from the moment I wake up (8AM my time) to whenever I have class (5:30 or 6 depending on what day of the week). And I'm not just logged on doing other stuff on my laptop, I log in and every few seconds I'm on CS poking around checking trades, browsing the forums. I spend more time on CS while on my laptop than I don't.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? I was an admin on a rp forum that is no longer active called MuseFx(proboards), I was a mod on another forum called Firestone(InvisionFree) again no longer active, I was a mod on Alkeme(InvisionFree) No longer active as well. And I've been an admin of Benecio for nearly 2 years. The sites birthday is October 22 2009.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? I have, I enjoy it, would enjoy it much more if I remembered to plug in my tablet before I started. I can't draw well with a mouse so I start something, then walk away, the few things I have finished with a mouse I'm not proud of. But I do love coloring in editable pieces on there.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? All the time. I see something I really like in featured or Recent and I get completely distracted from whatever I was doing and will browse for an hour or so at least. It is nice to see how many talented artists are members of CS.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? Because I am very against art theft and people being rude over someone else's art. I do not tolerate art thieves, I've banned a member from my own forum for it because it's that wrong in my eyes. And people being rude over someones art is just wrong. I can understand helpful criticism, but being mean because either you don't like the person or you think you are far more talented, or are just jealous of their talent, it mean and uncalled for and I've seen it happen. It's happened to me, not on here, and I hate that feeling of someone getting mad at me for something I've drawn because simply because they "don't like it". I'd like to be able to prevent others from getting hurt over doing wonderful art and be able to prevent wonderful art from being stolen.

APPLICATON

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)

I joined Sat Aug 15, 2009 3:18 pm

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
I've made 4362 posts

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day. I usually have CS open on my laptop all day, but life does interfere. School will be starting soon, so I may not be on as often.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
All day really. From... 10 am to 7 pm. As I said, I have it open all day.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No I have not, though I do try to look for things that seem to be out of order. I then PM a moderator to clear it up. Sometimes I'm wrong.. I will admit that...
EDIT:
Well, I do have a species, and I sort of stalk that, and make sure no one spams...
B.W.N
and my successful RP:
Wolfs Cry

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes. My gallery is filled with drawings :)

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes. I love to look through the Sketches and Intermediate. I sometimes go to beginners, and the other forums as well.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I want to be a moderator to help clean up anything on CS. I hate it when people try to get away with spam, art theft, and start arguments for the fun of it. I think that they should be reported, and dealt with calmly, and effectively.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I think I can be calm in certain situations, and helpful as well. I can be hard when I need to be, like, for example, if someone has committed art theft knowingly. I will lock the oekaki, and maybe they pm me asking me why, and is all upset. I will calmly tell them why, and refer them to the rules. If they keep persisting, I will deal with them appropriately.

APPLICATION

What date did you register as a CS member?: Saturday May 8th, 2010
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 302
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Almost everyday, or everyday I can get on.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Sometimes half a day, usually more than 5 hours
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: I draw a lot on Oekaki, not as much as I would like to, but I do draw more than once a week nowadays.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Yes, I do this all the time, that's one of the reasons I'm asking for the job. Two thirds of the time on Chicken Smoothie I look at art. I just recently started posting a lot, because before I was only allowed to post a few time because my computer wouldn't let me, but now I'm starting to post a lot in the oekaki forums. I love encouraging people to keep on drawing, or helping people with oekaki with questions like "How do you make it Lock Alpha?" or "How do you make a realistic fur pattern?". I try my best to explain it to them, or direct them to someone who can.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I would like to be the oekaki moderator because I love art and love seeing it. I would not like any other job on cs because I'm not as interested in anything other then the oekaki forums. I'm also basically a moderator without the highlighted name already, or at least I'm trying. I also want to be a moderator because I see a few fights that break out because someone says that their art isn't intermediate yet, so I help with those a lot.I've also seen some innapropriate pictures on Oekaki with too much blood or over pg 13 scenes, and I wish I could do something about it, but since I'm not a moderator, there is only so much I can do.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?): My friends get in fights a lot, so I'm used to keeping calm while dealing with screaming and shouting. My father also has some stress going on right now, so he's been a bit on the bad side lately and he's been screaming a lot, but my Mother and I have kept him stay calm. I'm used to having a lot of responsibilities because I have a lot of pets at home, so I have to clean litterboxes and tanks, so I am pretty reliable and responsible. I always get the job done, one way or another. I help some of my friends with there troubles, and I will never say I wont forgive someone, so I think that should be something a moderator should have.

Thanks for reading this !

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: August 15, 2008

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 21057

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day, except for some weekends that I can't help with.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Depending on homework it's usally 2 hours, but during the weekends it can be all day.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link them: Yes,http://breathingfireadopts.freeclanforum.com/

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, in my free time.

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I want to keep the boards clean for younger members and older members alike. I know some older members don't like inapporaite images and young members should not see them at all. Pretty much I just want to make sure CS is a safe place for all the members on here.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) Not really, but I know right from wrong and I have a sixth sense to sense if someone is danger in real life, online it's a bit harder but I follow my gut a lot and it seems to work. Also I was a link leader in 11th grade, which means I helped 9th graders cross into high school more smoothly.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: October 19, 2009

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 932

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? usually all seven unless I can't get to my computer (sharing a computer stinks)

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? usually about two or three or more if I don't have homework or anything.

5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them I haven't before

6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? I use it pretty often and am very familiar with the tools (enough so in order to be able to help anyone with issues that may arise)

7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? That's usually where I spend most of my time on CS. If I'm not browsing Oekaki, I'm not on CS!

8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, I'm certainly at the Oekaki boards enough! Seriously, though, I want to because I love CS and being able to help out in any way would be awesome! Ever since I joined I've thought it would be awesome to be a mod. I'd also love posting comments as a mod too! It makes people really happy when a mod acknowledges their work, and I enjoy making people happy. I know it sounds really insincere, but I really do enjoy seeing other people happy. Also, when trying to calm conflicting members, a mod's voice is heard louder than others, making it easier to figure out what's going on and soothe the members before things get out of hand.

9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I'm good at seeing conflicts from multiple points of view and can come up with reasonable compromises if necessary. Whenever people I know argue, I always end up the person in the middle saying "Can't we all just get along?" A year ago I was caught in a HUGE fight between two of my friends and managed to help them work things out and become friends again. Fighting bothers me, so I usually won't stop until the problem is resolved. Also, monotonous work also doesn't bother too me much, and I take responsibilities very very seriously.

Thank you very much for considering me, and good luck to everyone! :D

1.What date did you register as a CS member?:
Since Monday 7th December 2009, at 1:03 in the afternoon.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
6019 posts, including this one.
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day to be honest, unless I'm away - even then I'll try to get on. Even when I'm ill.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I spend at least five or six hours on and off on a school day, and on the weekend I'm on about fourteen hours a day (way too much time). Unless there's homework, which brings my time down about an hour or so.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before?
No, but I have moderated on various roleplays. And I can learn.
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Occasionally, but I'm really bad and am on my laptop/iPad most of the time which really doesn't help. I've only got one picture I'm really happy about.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I tend to try and spend at least an hour or so each day, though I tend not to post and just look at the art.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I want to be an oekaki moderator because I do enjoy looking at all the pieces on here, and want to help in any way I can. I'm pretty sure I know what all the tools are used for, though there are a few I'm not sure about, and I will learn how to use them. I hate seeing the forum filled with spam 'cause I spend so much time on here, and want to give something back to CS. I also believe that the Oekaki is probably a calmer place for me to mod, if possible, due to the fact that art is something I do to calm myself down (I have loads of notebooks at home filled with drawings). I don't like it when someone steals a piece of art, it doesn't go down well with me, and I would like to do something about it. I admit it, I tend not to report things, but that can and will change.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I believe that I am quite calm, and as I am so active I believe that I could do something to help the CS community. I handle people who irritate me, or others, showing respect to them whilst telling them, politely, to stop spamming/stealing art/etc. I am pretty good with people on the internet, I tend to spend more time on here than out with my friends. Personally I'm quite positive, and can handle pretty much anything due to some, um, problems I've had in the past. I can joke around, but know what I'm supposed to be doing.

A while ago my huge group of friends got into a fight, and I was the one who listened to both sides of the story. Sadly my group of friends aren't as close, and never will be, but I'm the only one who actually gets on brilliantly with both sides and got them to be friends again.

I'll admit it, I get distracted sometimes but always wind up on CS. Somewhere on here anyway.

Okay, thanks for considering me, and I hope someone good gets the job.
