@Selcouth: I am extremely glad you told me to explore poetry!

Lovely story by the way - and I like Daft Punk as well!~ I owe my brother for that, though, ahaha~
@Aqua: I'm very sorry, m'dear - you certainly have my condolences. It was written wonderfully.

I promise I'll finish the other story...!
Yay, more talking! Almost all talking!
Gee Giggle, can't you make 'em do something else other than talk? ...Not usually, no.
Florence + The Machine: That's What the Water Gave Usx x x x

;
And oh poor A t l a s
The world's a beast of a burdenYou've been holding on a long time
And all this longing
And the shields are left to rust.That's what the water gave us ;
The pale gentleman sat across from the star-crossed boy, studying him intently as he wavered towards and away from his book of maps. "In my opinion," he began - and that's not exactly a strong way to kick something off - sighing intently before continuing. "Atlas got what was coming."
The other man flinched gently, waving it off with a flick of the hand. "If that's what you think."
"It is what I think." The naive boy bit his lip a bit before returning to his book, as if there was a small disturbance. Ruffling his smooth, uncanny blue hair, he flipped the page. The other watched his eyes trace the words and worlds that were mapped out in front of him. Every now and then, the other would look up from the atlas to catch the small-pupiled being staring at him.
"It was not under his control," the other was breathing so low, so low. "T-Trust me, please, please tell me it wasn't his fault..." He was shaking so roughly; it was scaring the bluer of the two and he set the atlas down. "Say you'd carry the burden given the chance, would you, would you please?
I'll give you everything. I will give you the w-world if you would say that, please, please, just say it say it SAY IT -"
The blue one was busy navigating away from the table when he was gripped by the shoulders.
"I'll give you the world, the whole wide world, if you say you'd take it if you had the chance~~" Now he was calm and savvy and had eyes like a snake's. "Wouldn't you want the world?" He leaned in close and drew his finger across his lip. "Just say it, say it, say it,
say it say it -"
He sunk a bit in the other's grip before he flashed another personality.
"Because people talk about wanting the world, they want to have it in their own hands... To be the most powerful. Don't you want that? Tell me you do. Tell me you want the world to touch your fingertips. Tell me, say it, tell me... Say it... Say it? Don't you want it?"
"I... I would take... I would have the world if given the chance."
Smiles. Smiles all around. His lip snarled up in a sly, sarky grin and his eyes were huge. "Oh Atlas, you got what was coming, oh Atlas, oh Atlas... Can't you feel your shoulders crumbling, being forced down by... By the weight of ignorance! You... You... Had it coming, you had it coming, that's what I think.
That's what I think. You won't need an atlas, dear, you are one. And congratulations, you're
my Atlas~"
