What date did you register as a CS member?:Dec 16, 2010
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 376
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? I try to everyday, but if I don't I'll be on within a day or so
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Longest I can
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: no I haven't
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Defiantly!
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Sometimes, but mostly to draw
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I've seen so many people post art, and there really good! But sometimes, things get out of hand, a friend of mine had a situation, when someone did not like her art, the had reported her on it, I did not appreciate that at all, and it made me mad that I couldn't do anything about it, so to keep this from happening to other people, I want to be an Oekaki Mod.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I do have some experience with peer mediation, either breaking up a fight, or trying to keep the peace.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
I joined this huge family on Tuesday July 13th, 2010 at 6:01 pm.
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
Not including this post, I have posted 4,980 times.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
Every day of the week, unless on vacation then I try to be on as much as I can.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
Since I am starting school soon, during that time I am on here about five or so hours, but during the summer or weekends I am on for about twelve hours threw out the whole day.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
I have been a moderator on another site, a role playing site, but that did not last long. It lasted maybe about a month maybe two. But I am sorry I do not have the link because it was about six months ago. :c
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
Yes I have, and I love it. <3 This summer I have just started drawing seriously and I enjoy even just coloring in line arts. I think I have learned a lot while drawing on oekaki and I have to improve a lot of things like shading.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
Oh yes I do, a lot actually. I go on the oekaki boards every day, mostly the beginners, intermediate, colored in, and sketches and experiments. I also stalk a few artist’s gallery’s, like Neara, Lillian Nightshade, TheWolfsgirl90, Panacea, and ~apache, on my quest to own a Warrior of Isket. (Species is owned by TheWolfsgirl90.)
When there is a drawing in the wrong board, I tell the artist that they should have it moved. I also give them critiques when they are asked, but I never give them harsh critiques like “It looks Nothing like that. That’s ugly!” I would never do that, because I know I would not like that and I would be hurt by their words.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:
Now why do I want to be an oekaki moderator? Well for one, every day I look on the oekaki board I see at least one new piece that is absolutely stunning and jaw dropping, which makes me jealous that I can to that, haha. I also love to see progress that artist make from when they join to now. The ideas of some artists are just creative I don’t think I could even think of.
Second, I love helping people with their art and giving people advice to make them even better than before. Also, helping members advise them where they post forms, like if they post a color in, in beginners or a contest in a color in, to help them move the art piece to where it belongs.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required):
For skills.. The only thing I could think about for skills is that I love art and love to help people with art, because I can’t speak another language let alone read another language. I know I may not be the most experienced member here and I may not be exactly right for an oekaki mod but I guess that is all up to you to have a variety of board members.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
July 15 2010, 14:24. (:
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3045
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
I try everyday, will be on Saturday, Friday, Sunday for sure! And i can make it on Thursdays and Wednesdays. I could make it everyday. (:
4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
Weekends can go for 5 hrs, and weekdays 3 - 4 hrs.
5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
I haven't, i've only been a mini mod on threads here. But i have gained plenty of experience.
6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:
Of course, i love it. I've made 179 drawings so far. (:
7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:
I do, a lot. I am in love with artwork and browse the oekaki board like a museum.
8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I think i'd like authority, it makes me feel proud, i also with to help my fellow CSians. And i want more view of artwork, if i get the job i want to open myself to art, i want to take in all the styles -
and just fall in love. I also want to gain styles of art for myself.
9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
I am nice, calm and i will not burst out into flames. I can deal with hatred from other people and i have built a high self esteem. I like reading, (whatever it is) so that will give me an advantage for approving posts. I know a lot about people behavior, so i DO know what is coming to me, and i can accept that. I am responsible, and i can promise you i will not take any advantage of my authority.
I am a good critque, i've been exposed to art and know the differences between Intermediate art and Beginner's. And don't think that because i'm soft, i'll be nice and let arguments, wrong oekaki placings, or innopropriate posts slide. I won't. I know what's good for the CS oekaki boards! And i'll be glad to get it into shape!

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Mon Jan 17, 2011.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 768
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Usually five-six days out of seven days a week.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? About 2-4 hours a day, sometimes more.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before?: No, I haven't.
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Many times, though I admit I'm not the best at it.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? One an off, maybe about every two minutes of the day I'm on.

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I love the oekaki boards, and commenting on people's artwork. It amazes me how many great artists we have on here... I think it's important that people are following the rules, espeacily on the oekaki boards- in my oppinion, it's the most visited place here on CS. If more people followed the rules, the better it would be.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) Umm, not really... :?

Other: By the way, I had to put this together really fast, sorry...

Application for αρσcαℓʏρƨɛ!
What date did you register as a CS member?:
Saturday, Oct 25, 2008 at 9:59 am ^_^ I feel so old...
How many posts have you made in the forum:
530! yes, I know it isn't much compared to some of those really big posters, but I don't post on a large variety of topics. I prefer to stick with my familiar family (;
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day except Sundays, or when I'm on a vacation. even then, I try to get on =)
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
roughly 2 to 3 hours. I'm not 100% sure, though. during the school year I take what I can get. At the bare minimum, an hour.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Heck yeah! ...although my drawings... are not the most spectacular...
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes. I enjoy seeing other peoples work, especially those who are very dedicated to their work.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Because I have enjoyed CS for almost 3 years now, and would like to give back to CS by helping it in whatever way I can. Also, I would enjoy helping others with their art however I can.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
I am a patient person, and have not been known to lash out at people on here. I always try to be as fair as possible, and trying to understand both sides of the argument before making a decision is a must for me.

Thank you for taking time to look at this!

Cx

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: July 24th, 2010.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum: 6844 and counting c:
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week unless I have to do something.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?7+ hours on weekends, 2-3 hours on school days.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to themNot any other real forums, but I have moderated a few threads on CS, including art shops, roleplays, a lot of things. ^^
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Oh yes, I'm usually always drawing oekaki. :)
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yep! I usually browse the Sketches and Experiments board, the Intermediate board, and Coloured in. [But of course if I'm a mod I'll be all over ^^']
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?Although in my last form I had said that a moderator job would be too much for me, I think that an Oekaki moderator would be alright; since it's not the entire forum. This would be much easier for me to handle. I want to be a moderator for CS, because I have seen a lot of oekakis that don't particularly follow some rules that users/staff put down, and I want to be able to really help out instead of reporting things for other mods to do. ^^;
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? I do not become angered online at all, really. I stay calm and handle the situation in a mature way. I don't rise to any bait, I will deal with the problem accordingly. I don't have any real expierence with Peer Mediation, but I don't get into fights at all. I don't have any foe's on Cs, and I don't plan on having any anytime soon. C:

I hope you find some great mods out there, people deserve it. <3

2. How many posts have you made in the forum: 1048
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Seven out of seven

What date did you register as a CS member?:
2/18/2010

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3,000 and over.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Usually everyday unless my mother takes away/restricts my internet usage.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
From the time I get home until I go to bed, so from about 4:45 to 9:00. But on weekends and holidays I'm usually on all day.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
Sadly, I haven't.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, but not as much as I would like to of had.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I still can't seem to grasp just how talented everyone on CS is! It's amazing.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Because when ever I see a beautiful picture on the oekaki boards I don't even want to think that someone would ever want to steal it. I know how wonderful it is to create something wonderful, and no one should ever have it taken away from them. Bullying- unacceptable. Just because you don't like someone's art doesn't mean you have to harrass them. I really want to help the wonderful staff of Chicken Smoothie to keep the site safe and enjoyable for everyone!

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required)
I do not let my emotions get the best of me.

Re: Oekaki Moderator - job applications now open!

Postby meerkatgirl » Fri Sep 02, 2011 11:15 am

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply) February 5, 2010

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 3073

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7, unless I'm on vacation, have way too much homework, or have bad weather, like the hurricane that just passed.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? On weekends or the summer, at least 5 hours. During school days, between 1 and 3 hours, oftentimes more.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them. Not really. I've created my own pet sites and worked for quite a few, most of which had forums, but moderating them wasn't really much of a job, because there were very few people on the site. (The sites were Black Cherry Vanilla and Chasing Zebras)

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, it's my main drawing program. Right now I have 656 drawings posted there.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, most of my time spent on CS is either drawing, or looking at the oekaki. I always look at the featured drawings, and new drawings in Intermediate and sketches and experiments, and then all the other forums.

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I love using oekaki, and spent most of my time there. I hate when the fights break out over references, whether a drawing is intermediate or not, etc. Being a moderator would also mean I could help approve posts and move drawings to the right forum. Basically, I just want to help out around CS.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I have experience in peer mediation as I am the ones my friends or family members turn to when they are arguing, because they know I will try to find out the whole story and will not take sides. I've also been a camp counsilor twice, and have had to stop arguements or figure out who was telling the truth/who was lying, etc.

I also am very familiar with how the oekaki works, so I can help solve any problems people have with it. Since I have been on CS for about a year and a half, I know the rules, including those regarding the oekaki, like art theft. I'm also good at explaining things, like how soemthing works.

I'm not sure if this matters, but I also know basic French, so I can help people who may not speak English very well, if they speak French.

Thanks for taking time to read this, and sorry for any typos or mistakes :)
It started and ended with a man.
