Not to be mini mod-ish, but this is a SAVE the whales and dolphins club. Not kill them so they don't get overpopulated club.
They're already endangered so no, they shouldn't be killed for that reason. With any animal!! Should we kill humans because they're overpopulated? No and we don't. So? Why animals?? Especially endangered ones.

Agreed. Overpopulation is not bad. Humans are SOOOOOOOOOOOO overpopulated and we have affected the Earth more than any living creature in the world, but we are not killing eachother because of that, or are we? So overpopulation is not a good reason for killing animals randomly, being endangered or not.

Please read the rest of it before saying that and yes i know it to save them i'm snot dumb but i'm being realistic if we just like killed one a year then that would probaly be fine.They cannot be overpopulated cause there is not enough food for all of them if they got overpopulated they would kill THERE-SELVES but us we have enough food.and im not talking about killing them randomly Nushkly.

I don't want to get into any fights, its just my opinion, so sorry if I offend you. And they'll be, I know. We don't have enough food. They are also so many people dying from starvation in the world, and we are not killing eachother just because of that, right? And tell me, what they dont have enough food? Is because of us, we are fishing way too much, and it's not my opinion.

Personally, I think the only form of whaling that is socially acceptable is the kind that is still practiced by aboriginal cultures, as that is their cultural heritage. They also don't take hundreds of whales a year, and they tend to stay away from the rarer kinds. I don't have a problem with this kind of thing in the slightest, so long as they use the whale completely. What I do have a problem with are the big factory ships that chew the poor animal into what is essentially dogfood.

Is everyone here fairly knowledgeable on what the factory ships use in the tips of their harpoons, or do I need to go into that, too?

Overpopulation can be a bad thing, too. Then there will be too much competition and animals even more endangered than the bottle-nose dolphin (which is not too endangered) and then there will be a problem. However, it is WRONG to just kill them. Anyway, it will be hard to knock this info into the fishermen's heads, but only time can tell what will happen next. Yeah, cultural things do get in the way, but sometimes it is required of them to do so (like eskimos). They only take what they need, however, so they aren't causing much problems.

ANYWAYYYY. September 1st, anybody done the dolphin day thing? ;)
