The Siren[f] -------------------- Eythan[m]
Sometimes life it takes you by the hand.
It puts you down before you know it
It's gone and you're dead again.
I've been in places and I won't pretend
That I make it I just follow my head.I gazed up towards the hot vibrant sun, setting a hand on my eyebrows to help shield my eyes from it's powerful rays that my tanned skin enjoyed soaking up. I sighed dropping my hand at the same time I leaned over the side of my boat towards the glistening blue water that tilted my boat in the motion of a rocking horse. It had been three days since my boat lost all signal to the real world and run out on gas, now I simply had to rely on the rocking of water to bring me to land or hope that someone would find me, which mind you would be unlikely being in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.
My wife had told me not to go alone, well, actually not to go at all- and now I wished I had listened to that brown eyed beauty. But there was no point in dwelling on that, it was much too late now.
When its strange to take a walk downstairs
Sweep u all up on a corner and pay for my bread.
You know that I cannot believe my own truth
To show what a truth, got nothin' to lose.
Groaning inwardly I scrubbed my hands down my face and leaned forwards so my forearms resting on the railing that pulled itself along the edge of my boat. I closed my eyes and sighed slowly, this was it, it's all over now. I'm going die of starvation or.. something. I ran my tongue over my dry lips and leaned forwards even more so my forehead was pressed against the cold metal. Swallowing I could feel that my throat was dry. My eyes shot open and my head snapped up as a melodic voice filled my ears.
It was.. beautiful, elegant, gentle, tender, extravagant, just.. amazing. I had never heard such a beautiful sound, it had me almost hypnotized. I spun in a circle searching for the provider of such a beautiful sound, although suddenly the singing was gone and I blinked feeling as if I had been in a comatose for the longest time.
"Look down," the stunning voice whispered- and I obeyed.
Yeah yeah and it's okay.
I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way.
Yeah yeah and I'm alright.
I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight.
As I peered over the railing down towards the water I met a pair of turquoise coloured eyes, I felt as if I could stare into those wonderful pools forever. I then studied the rest of the woman below me, long red hair cascaded over her shoulders and down her back. Her pale skin lacked any flaws-- she was bust deep into the water. I watched as a smile spread over her perfectly shaped pink lips. A sane man would've questioned as to what a woman with such beauty as hers= was doing out in the middle of the Atlantic, but I couldn't find my voice.
"Do you sing?" She asked in the same melodic voice as before, "Sing with me." She crooned. "A man as handsome as you must have a handsome voice, no?'
"I.." I trailed off, and shut my eyes as a shook me head. What was going on with me?
"Open your eyes my love." She cooed.
You know those days when u wanted to choose
To not get out of bed and get lost in your head again.
You play the game but you gotta cut
Cuz' you're comin' down hard your joints are off stud.As I opened my eyes I noticed her arm was stretched up towards me, offering me her hand. Instinctively I reached out for her, although I soon realized the railing of my boat was blocking me. Growling under my breath, I hoisted myself up and over so I was standing on the very brim of my boat.
"Come join me." She whispered, staring up at me with those brilliantly coloured eyes, her hand was still outstretched towards me. Again, I reached for her, this time I managed to lock our hands together. I felt sparks shoot up through my arm and explode in my torso as if I had relived my first kiss. Her smile that she had put on earlier never left her face as she moved back pulling me into the water with her, suddenly I was pulled into the water depths with her.
I tried to say that's not the only way
I never knew if I could convince myself to change.
You were pacing I was insecure.
Slip and fall I got the call of the prison I was livin' in.
As I tried to take in a breath of air, I was only greeted by water filling my lungs.
[[ Not sure I'm too proud of this one. >_< ]]
