How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I don't know exactly but I do spend quite a lot of time on CS everyday and with this job I would be on even more.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Yes.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: Well I believe I can do more on CS if I was made a moderator. What date did you register as a CS member?:
October 21, 2010

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
2935 (not including this one :3)

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Seven days a week (or as much time as I can spare from high school.)

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I try to be on for three or more hours a day, enough time where I'm able to finish all the replies I need to make and take care of any other responsibilities I have.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I have not moderated on CS, but I have been an archivist, and participated in many pet giveaways.
Off site though I moderate and do stating for a role-play known as ROMA
http://romarpg.6te.net/v2/

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Seeing as I don't have much talent with digital drawing I mainly use the Oekaki board to color linearts much more talented users have made and browse through the submissions, occasionally commenting on them and voting for the next featured drawing.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes. I sometimes find myself browsing through all the amazing art posted there, I don't do it regularly but when I do I can spend hours there.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I want to be an Oekaki moderator because I think it would be an amazing experience. I love art, and take as many classes of visual arts in school as possible simply because it's something I am passionate about. The thought of having some small part in the art that is uploaded on this site excites me to no end because it just seems such an amazing job. Another thing is the weight of responsibility, I don't mind it; actually I relish in it. I enjoy helping and steering my peers in the right direction and having the pride of being a part of something successful and knowing you had a role to play in that.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
Yes, I have skills from being a commander in chief of my high school's drama club and branching from that the improv troupe. Being part of these groups has given me many valuable tools for life. Such as a good sense of humor; I have the ability to always look on the bright side of life, and the ability to laugh at myself when I fall but also pick myself up again once I do. With being part of the drama productions and county wide productions, i've developed a tough skin. I am able to take criticism well, and learn from my mistakes. I am also able to take a couple hits, metaphorically speaking from those who are jealous or those who are sore that they have made mistakes through auditions and such. I think these skills will be put to good use in moderating position because of the demands set down by the job, and I hope you consider me for the position because I put my heart and soul into everything I do, and this would be no exception.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
Aug 15, 2008

How many posts have you made in the forum:
4831 as of 8/31/11

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I log on each day of the week, but when I am on vacation I might miss a day or two.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Usually 4-8 hours, depending on the day. Usually these are hour-long sessions that I spread throughout the day. It covers more area. Of course there are instances where I'll have a day-long event where I won't be able to log on.

Have you moderated on any other forums before?
I have moderated several of threads over my years of being a part of CS. I cannot link to most of them, as they are long lost. I would have to say it was a bit of a challenge moderating my old thread called Northern Stars. This is the largest thread I've owned/moderated. I think it gave me a lot of necessary experience in Moderation.

Here are links to some other older, inactive websites and threads:
{x}{x}{x}{x}
I also moderate a server on Minecraft. It is extremely busy and I've had to use quick instinct to solve problems.

Have you ever used the CS Oekaki to draw?
All the time. My Gallery has 185 Drawings at the time of posting this.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the Oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? I spend about 7/8 of my time browsing the Oekaki board, sometimes I'll spend the whole day looking through the various Oekaki pictures. This varies, though.

Why do you want to be an Oekaki moderator for CS?
Well, I've always had a drive to make a difference in the CS community, especially if it's helping people out or mini-modding threads and reporting posts that break the rules. As I stated earlier, I spend a lot of my time hanging around the Oekaki forums. Since I already frequent those forums I would love to help maintain it where it is needed. I've reported multiple Oekaki pieces throughout the past couple years, and I feel I have a very good understanding at what the rules are of CS. On top of this I also want to prevent art theft and keep Oekaki Spam-free.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
To start, I am a very organized person, and I tend to maintain order where there is none. I also have a good grasp at which Oekaki belongs in which category. I can also sort out Beginner and Intermediate fairly easily. I've also been told I have a knack for keeping things in line, and I think that this would be of use in this position. I would like to prevent and get rid of art theft and Spam in the Oekaki forums. I know the rules of CS and of the Oekaki Forums in particular as well. I also know a bit of Spanish, which would help me in case someone who cannot speak English asks me a question regarding Oekaki. I am extremely mature and level-headed. I take things very seriously when I have to. But I am still a friendly and sometimes spontaneous person. (: I am also respectful of other members and generally don't get in fights. I will never start an argument or add oil to a fire that's already burning. (Metaphorically, of course). Overall, I'm a kind person and can tolerate thefts, inappropriate Oekaki images, and everything else the job entails.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
Thursday Oct 21, 2010

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3734

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
7 Days a Week

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Weekdays- 6-8 hours
Weekends- 11 hours

5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
Sadly, no.

6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, a bunch

7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the Oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes. I visit each board multiple times a day. One of my most visited sites is the Oekaki forum. xD

8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Since my early days at CS, I decided that if I was ever to become a staff member, I would want to be a Oekaki Moderator. I didn't want any other job, which is why I didn't apply for the other jobs that were available before. Becoming a Oekaki mod is my CS dream.
I love art always want to help people. I love to look at all the amazing art people make in the intermediate board and want to help people who aren't quite there yet become the artist they want to be. This being by helping them around Oekaki, gently nudging them in the right direction, etc. I also don't like to see newbies flapping around not knowing what to do. I want to help them in any way I can, and being an Oekaki mod is perfect.
I would also definitely benefit from the experience of modding here. I would give me good skills for when I go to college and in the future in general.
I would love to be apart of such a big and friendly community like CS, and being an Oekaki mod seems like the best way for me to do it and do it well.

9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
Well, I'm often assigned or become the leader of some group, so being calm and very organized comes easily to me. I naturally take over to make things neater and proficient. For example, if something is out of order and makes things disorganized, I immediately want to fix it. This would come in handy for moving Oekakis that were placed in the wrong boards and sorting things out. Most people also say that I'm very mature for my age.
Also, I am often asked to help a student if they are having trouble in class, so I know how to helpfully answer questions and use my knowledge to the best of my abilities. I'm calm and listen to both sides of the story before make a decision. I don't snap at people or yell at them, I calmly and respectfully remind them that they are wrong or need to notify a mod, etc. I have read over the rules of CS when I first joined and pretty much memorized them.
I'm also working on becoming fluid in French. English is my first language. c:

APPLICATON

1.What date did you register as a CS member? Marth 13, 2011 Please do not think I cant do my math, I simply can, but read on below before skipping my whole form please. :)
2.How many posts have you made in the forum 669, including this one.
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week unless I say otherwise. I normally will state a week or two before I won't be on as I am very organized.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? As long as my parents let me, (which can range from 2-8 hours) as I have a time limit or else I get carried away. ^.^ (But sometimes my mom leaves, and my dad goes to sleep, and I get on for a long time. :)
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: Yes, I have made my own website, but they are still under construction. http://ipupz.webs.com/ And A few others that have been shut down such as my best friend in real life's websites, and on other mini websites that have been shut down or have died off that are not worth linking to. :3
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes! Many times, and have enjoyed it, although I prefer going by pixels. No way do I want to become a CS artist, It would be such an honor, but I'm not the best computer/with mouse drawer. I draw wayyyy better using my hand writing. Some people around my neighborhood pay me 5 dollars for a hand made pop up card.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? TONS. OF. TIMES. :D I get my idea's and facts and amusement from there.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I feel that I am mature enough to conquer the questions and responsibility of being a Moderator on Chickensmoothie. Teachers have asked me to moderate recess once in a while, as the younger kids get to be wreckless torward each other and start to bicker. Then That's where I jump in and help. I believe I can bring more peace and fun and equality to the Oekaki boards. I believe that ChickenSmoothie should be a clean envirement, with lots of fun and fairness, unlike spam and rudeness. Last of all, I think I'm fit for the job.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I have had to sit between younger kids and teach them that you don't always have to be the best. I've taught a few things to the younger ones about peer's and peer respect, as well as not fighting to be the highest rank and then go boast about it.

Thank you so much Tess, for reading mine over. Please do not compare my joining time before my other text I wrote after it. I really do believe that I can succeed in this job, for helping the ChickenSmoothie Community.

1- What date did you register as a CS member?: August 23th of 2008. c:

2- How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 3752 posts for now.

3- How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: All of them, if I can.

4- How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but between 2-5 hours everyday. It is winter where I live, so I have school and am preparing for college as well, so I am not on as much as I used to be.

5- Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: Nope. XD I don't think being an International Mod here could be considered modding either.

6- Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Yup! Suck at drawing in it though, since my tablet doesn't like it much and I'm much more used to traditional drawing.

7- Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Yeah, I enjoy looking both at all boards, they all have pretty nice art from various artists. c:

8- Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: Firstly, to help the Oekaki be a bit more organized? Sometimes I see many works that should be in another board, but the Oekaki mods must be too busy dealing with other tasks related to the job to be able to do everything at once. ^^; Secondly, to help more COPPA'd post their art in the Oekaki, as there's probably many waiting to get their art posted and expecting to receive nice comments from the many users whom frequent the boards. Lastly, to try to block anything that might not be appropriate for the many pre-teens/teens in our forums, and stop conflicts in the threads from going too far and being too violent.

9- Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required): Well, I'm pretty neutral when it comes to conflicts, so I guess I can be good at stopping them without being biased? Hm, dunno if that would be a skill, but I guess it is worth mentioning. XD

What date did you register as a CS member?: February 22, 2011

How many posts have you made in the forum: 1,799 including this one

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Everyday :)

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Too many xD. Usually an hour or two on weekdays and a few hours on the weekends. Probably 5 on and off.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: I have my own adoption website found here. It isn't very active but I put a lot of time and effort. I also have my own adoption thread located here . I also stalk many threads and if they allow help with modding I pop in and help a bit.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: I use a good bit and it's a great program to practice digital art with. It's also handy having it right on the site.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: All the time it seems. Every week I love seeing what's popular and commenting on it.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: I want to be the Oekaki mod because I'm constantly on the forum looking for cool art to admire. Since I'm not the best digital artist on CS I enjoy admiring the art. But with every enjoyable pleasure there's the backsides. Such as art theft and inappropriate and rude comments.
I despise people who are rude to COPPA's and say their art is bad. They are usually under 12 and may not know the difference between the different art forums. So I would give them a friendly reminder to calmly explain and give some pointers. Art theft has becoming a problem lately and I would love to help eliminate all art thieves.
I also want to help clean up the forum for our younger members.
I have also noticed lots of people accidentally posting art in the wrong forums. I want to respond quickly and get it in the right forum. There is also people who don't follow a lineart's rules and people who copy art and steal characters. This can get annoying and I want to help with clearing these problems.
Even though I haven't been on CS long I know it like the back of my hand and I want to contribute to what makes this site special- kind and friendly staff members that listen to the members and helps them out.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I'm a very kind person that loves to help. I'm very calm and can handle many different issues in a caring way. I'm considerate of others and I think before I speak. This probably isn't important but I was recently elected for the class rep in my grade. This shows that people respect me and trust me. I'm very honest and speak what I believe. I'm patient and I don't mind answering the same questions over and over. I'm very friendly and a great person to talk too. I respect all the other members and enjoy company of others.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: I joined December 19th, 2009. <3
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 12989, not including this one.
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every day.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Hmmm... maybe 3 on weekdays, 5 on weekends. Of course, I am a human being so I take vacations, so I might not be on around Christmas time that much since I will be spending time with family.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before?: If a thread counts, I was a moderator for the Charloo Bowl. It is closed atm, but a new one will be opening soon.
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Umm.... yes, alot. I love to draw. Traditional and digital. I've had two of my pieces featured<3
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Yeah, probably once every few days. If you do accept me, though, {which is a snowballs chance in you know where. xD}, I promise to commit most of my time to looking through all 5 art forums.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: I would like to be a oekaki moderator for chicken smoothie, because art in general is one of my favorite things. I draw, and take photographs. I'm not a professional, because it's more of a hobby. I believe art is very special, and should not be abused. I know some artists draw graphic things; and that is totally fine. It's just them expressing themselves. But since chicken smoothie is a family friendly site, such graphic art is not allowed here. I want to keep the art forums clean, and a welcoming place open to new artists. Even the pros had to start out somewhere. It would be an honor to help in doing that. I understand that accepting this position limits me to only moderating the oekaki boards, which is 100% fine. It wouldn't be as difficult as moderating all of the boards. I feel I am responsible and mature enough to handle this position, seeing that I am a good student, and take everything I do seriously. I understand that if I get accepted for this job, I most certainly will get yelled and flamed at. That is perfectly fine by me. I can handle situations without yelling at or flaming at the other person. Some examples of how I might handle a situation are;
Person that Posted Obscene Content wrote:YOU'RE WRONG I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!!!!!!!

I wrote: Please calm down, and turn off your caps lock. I apologize if I seem like the bad guy, but I'm only doing my part to keep this site as clean as possible. You have been told why that post was not child appropriate, and I hope that you do not post content of that kind on this site again. If you find a different website that allows it, knock yourself out. {not literally}

I hope this is good enough of a reason to why I want to become an oekaki moderator; I just cannot put my thoughts to paper at the moment.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) If being a rounded citizen, both onsite and offsite counts, I am. n_n In school, I am in the W.E.B.S program {Where Everyone Belongs} which welcomes incoming students to my school. I spend a few days with some of them, doing activities and getting to know them. I am also in NJHS {National Junior Honor Society}, which is a closed elite group of students with 3.5 GPAs or higher that have proven good citizenship. I also do Junior Roller Derby, which is an empowering sport which is for girls ages 6-18. Onsite, I am on the forums, art forums, trading forums, roleplaying forums, and.... well, almost every forum. I try to get myself involved with this site as much as I can<3
