1.What date did you register as a CS member?: May 9th, 2010

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 2,485

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Usually every day.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 7-8 hours, if not more.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? I was formerly a moderator on this site, but lost interest in the role-play and quit. I also own multiple sites where I am the admin. ^^

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, and I often do. :) I know the program like the back of my hand.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yeah, I do it a lot actually. I like to look and browse and sometimes even give some critiques if they are requested.

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I want to be an oekaki moderator because I want to make sure that art theft doesn't happen and all drawings are in the correct sub-forum. I want to make sure that all editables are used within the artist's rules, and all questions about how to use the oekaki programs are answered. I've seen multiple times, while browsing the forums, art that has been in the wrong sub-forums (example being one colour-in of my editable lineart, now delt with and moved.) I just want to make sure that art gets put in the right place, violators of the CS art rules are delt with, and the oekaki forums are a safe place to draw and look. :)

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I have a sharp eye for spotting art theives and have delt with many of them in the past. (On deviantART and such.) I love to help people and make sure they understand everything, and also I am calm and mature when dealing with people that might be angry when confronted. I try to be as fair as possible to everyone, and try to make CS a better place when I can. ^^ Thank you for considering me, if you do.

APPLICATION
What date did you register as a CS member?:
Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:45 am
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
2108
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
On a normal basis,everyday.Unless on vacation,camping,with a friend,etc.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Usually 3-5 hours and up.(Unless I have to go somewhere)
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes,that's one of my favorite things to do. c: So far,I have 168 drawings done on there. What's also fun to do is look around the oekaki board and look at everyones drawings. There very talented artists one here!
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes,I do.I like browsing around just to see what people are drawing.Sometime I also go to the competitions board to enter a contest. But if I see that someone made a contest with no lines or a background,I report them.I go on the oekaki everyday to either draw,or look around.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
First of all,I want to keep the oekaki board safe and peaceful.By that I mean I would like to keep it so that all the drawings are child-friendly,no arguments,no theft,or anything that could be a disruption to the oekaki board because that is my favorite place.People, lets make art not fights please.
My second reason is,I want to be helpful.Like if someone is having trouble with the oekaki or chibi paint,I would like to give them some advise that could help them.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
Usually I report topics that don't fit/break the rules.I am also good at mediating in case there is an argument.

You have been answered 2 times already. Please stop spamming.

People, please read the qualifications. If you are under 6 months (even by a couple of weeks), do not apply until you are 6 months or more since it doesn't match the criteria. If you are a few days off, it doesn't matter since this will be up for at least a week.

If you don't go into the Oekaki often, do not apply. You need to know your way around the Oekaki and need to be familiar with it.

And we will be looking at your current account for post count.

What date did you register as a CS member?:

September 26th, 2009.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):

2960 (2961 including this post)

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:

Every day. Except in unusual situations when I'm on vacation, am hanging out with my friends, etc.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:

On weekends and in the summer, 2-4 hours, and 1.5 - 2+ hours on school weekdays. This time may vary depending on what I have going on during the day, but it shouldn't vary too much.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:

No, I have not, but I ready and willing to learn more about and become fully comfortable with moderating.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?:

Yes, I use it very often, and I enjoy it very much. It's actually a very nice program, even though it is a bit mediocre compared to others. I have learned several Oekaki tricks as well.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?:

Yes, I do look at the art there often. I find it very entertaining and fun to see what amazing things users can do with the program.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - CS is an incredible website. You might never find another virtual pet site with nicer users, more dedicated and experienced staff, and more lovely artwork. I would be very proud do do my part in making sure that this site can run smoothly and everything can stay in balance. I would feel absolutely blessed to be able to help in such a way that moderator does.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:

I feel that I can handle various situations calmly and assertively. I can also try to write in a clear, grammar and spelling correct way to address problems maturely, so that everyone can understand what I'm trying to say. I also happen to be a fairly fast at typing, so I should be able to quickly deal with multiple problems. And since I visit the Oekaki board often, I have a feel for the skill level of each board, so I will know how to move art accordingly. I also know about using the Oekaki so I may be able to answer questions about that, if need be.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading my form, and they I just might have the skills that you're looking for. And thank you for this incredible opportunity <3

Re: Oekaki Moderator - job applications now open!

Postby Lasse + Sparrow » Thu Sep 01, 2011 4:15 am

I am sharing an account with someone, who has posted their form on page 41. Like the general helper applications, we were hoping that if both people apply and get chosen, then we can be a mod on a shared accout.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
Due to the fact this is not my first account, I have been on CS since September 2009, but my new account, which is this one of course, joined on saturday november 20th, 2010, 8:15pm

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
1192 posts.

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day of the week, unless on a very rare event (holidays and such).

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Always over 1 and a half hours, but more like 3-4hours.(due to the fact I have laptop, ipod and console access to the internet)

5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, i have not moderated on any forums before, though I am a mini mod on the "How much is this pet worth forum." I also moderated on a website called minecraft, but not on the website in general, on a certain server, but there was only 9 mods, and over 1000 members on this certain server, so we always had a lot of work to do and we got very used to the idea about explaining what people did wrong, and why it was not allowed. We learned to be very calm and fair, and do things well,(I left after some time due to personal reasons and also because I was spending more and more time here)
I would link to the server but it is now down.
6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes I have used it a number of times, but I personally don't publish much of my work and prefer to use it just to practise my drawing with a mouse and tablet. When I do publish my art, it is never great, but that is simply because I prefer seeing other peoples art than doing my own.

7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I love looking at the art in the oekaki board. It greatly interests me seeing what does qualify for intermediate and what does not. I love seeing what people can come up with, and the range of art talent and creativity on the oekaki board. I also like looking at the sketches and experiments, because I always find a lot of very interesting things in that forum.

8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I want to be an oekaki moderator on CS because, although I don't have much art talent myself, I adore seeing others talents and ideas, and more than anything, watching people come to the oekaki boards, not doing much at first, but having their skills develop until their work is beautiful, or creative or many other things. I want to stop people from stealing art, because as I am sure you know this was a crime, that over a year ago the person sharing an art shop with me commited. I wasn't the one who did it, but I still saw it and did not realise it was art theft, but this still made me feel terrible and I want to stop others from making this mistake, even though others would not care about the fact they did steal art, I want everyone to realise why its wrong and why CS does not allow it. Art, to me, is something beautiful, and I want to help others with that and watch their art on the oekaki board. I have watched the oekaki boards for a long time now, and I think I know enough now about what qualifies for intermediate and what doesn't, so I think I can say I would know what would need moved, and to where. I really love art on cs, and it is something I want to help with. I have always been able to handle people complaining and shouting at me, and although I am not sure if it would happen here, I have been teased before and can deal with that too. I have watched many mods come and go now, and I think I finally understand the reasons why you should want to be a mod and that it is never for pets or customs or anything like that. Having pets or customs is great, I'm sure, but my pets don't mean much to me compared to the forums. There is always going to be people on the forums who will get angry, who want their way and who will complain, thinking this is the way to get what they want, but I can take that and want to stop people from doing that. CS has so many different things on the forums now, whether you like art, music, adoptables, religon or many other things. Being a mod may be great, but an art mod to me, is what I personally would chose. There is no point in being a mod, unless you are being it for what you love. I think I have proven myself to be responsible, I have not been in any trouble or recieved any warnings in offer a year now, and am also aware of all the tools on the oekaki program now. I know my way around the oekaki board extremly well now, and although I am terrible at art myself, I know a lot about it, and love helping others develop that talent. I have worked hard to be responsible on cs, and make it a more enjoyable place for others playing it as well, and I would like to help the cs staff as much as I possibly can. I am aware of the oekaki rules, and know what to prevent from happening on the oekaki board, whether it has to much writing, is in the wrong place, is inappropriate, is a contest with no lineart or background,is someone copying a cs linart or has too much blood or gore, I will be happy to explain what is wrong to the person who did it and what needs to be done.

9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
Though I am not sure if these things would be what your looking for, I have been to a lot of art gallerys and know quite a lot about different types of art. I also am taking a lot of classes at school on different types of art. I have read a lot of books, and therefore understand most of what people are talking about when they draw things from books, though I cannot claim to know everything that has been inspired by certain books. I love art that involves detailed backgrounds and shadow work and would love to have this position. I speak quite a bit of spanish now, and quite a lot of french, as well as learning quite a lot about current events each day. I also think I will be able to handle people being rude, stealing art, or argueing. I can keep calm and tell them what they have done wrong, but also be firm enough, that they would know not to do it again. I am quite good at spotting art theft, and know a lot about the oekaki boards now. I am not bias, and never take sides in arguements. I can deal with stress well, and helping to look after a disabled sister has made me mature enough to deal with a lot of times. I will not complain when people are rude to me, I will be fair, and I will generally do all I can to make the oekaki boards, a safe, fun place to share art on.

I would also just like to say, thank you for the chance to apply. Also, I have tried to make my form clear, about my reasons for wanting to be a oekaki mod, and all I can do now is wait and wish everyone the best of luck!

Oekaki Moderator Form

I hope I am able to apply. The way I was counting I thought I turned 6th months on August 8th. Sorry if I am wrong. :)

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply) 08 March 2011
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 1197 post.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 6-8 hours everyday of the week.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? Sorry, I have never been a mod before so I don't have a link.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, I use it at least once every week, but I mostly just go and skim through new drawings.. 
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, I mostly skim through the new art instead of drawing because their are so many great artist on CS. 
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

Well, to be honest I have wanted to be a helper or mod since a couple of months after I registered. I think the first thread I saw was looking for a role-play moderator which Clowesia got. 
Then I think it was general helpers which Tuike, Spotty, HaloFire, Ocelot at Soul, Olivia, Minimanta, .: T O K I :.. and Roonie-Roe got. All of these mods and general helpers are doing a great job, and I would like to be a part of that. I always have wanted to be a part of that.

I think I could do a really good job, I might not be good at art, but I am working on it and trying so hard every time I have a chance. I am on every day, even if I can only get on with my phone. When I come home I do my to do’s and once those are done I come online.

I am addicted to CS and I love it so much, I skim through every forum daily just to see what’s new. I know being a Mod will be hard at first but I am willing to take that challenge, I will be on even more if I get this job. I will help make sure CS is a safe place for kids and adults, I understand people will get mad at me because they got a warning, and I’m not going to lie, I might hurt a bit but I will get over it because at the end of the day I did my job and I completed my task. If I get this job, even if I don’t get this job, I will still make sure everyone is following CS rules.

When I first made an account I was silly and did some dumb things. I thought it would be fun, then once I kept playing reading the rules over I realised CS works so hard to be a safe site, and I would love to be a part of that. 
In fact whoever gets this job will do a good job. I will make sure I do a good job, if I get this job I will even re-read the rules to make sure I did a good job. I will read the sticked forms in the oekaki thread so I know for sure that I can help CS stay safe.

As I said before, I know I am not good at art, but I can tell when art is safe and when art is inappropriate. If I get this job I will be so happy, I can guarantee I will do a brilliant job. I can honestly say that even if I don’t get this job, I will try so hard to help CS. I will make more suggestions and keep an eye out for things that seem inappropriate.

Being a Oekaki Moderator would be so cool because I have always wanted to be a mod and because I love art. I love art because it is so cool and creative and getting the chance to see it everyday is amazing. Who ever gets this job will be so lucky because it will be their job to look at all this wonderful art, that's like the best job.

I know how important it is to keep people safe, and as I said before, I would love to be apart of that because it would make me so happy when I know people are safe. To conclude this long message, it would make my day if I could become a Oekaki Moderater because it would be such a privilege, and you wouldn't regret it. :)

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) Attention to detail and I speak different languages(Spanish, French, English, Hindi and Tamil), I know when art is good and safe. I am a calm person when it comes to problems, I am good at spotting art theft.

Thank you so much for reading this, even if I don't get the job, I love that I can be considered. :)

What date did you register as a CS member?:Fri Jul 02, 2010 8:07 pm
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 1459
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday of the week. I might take a day off, but its very rare I would.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? About 3-5. I try to go as much as I can.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? I'm a mini mod on Cimples
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes. Once I get a tablet, I will draw more.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?Yes, I admire every piece of artwork, and see if new ones come in.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I want to be an oekaki moderator because I love CS. Its a great part of my life. If I have spare time, I'd always go to CS.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) Well, I know a bit of Korean, and some French, and I love to try it as much as I could to get these language more fluency in them. I know English like the back of my hand. So that is not a problem.

Thank you for this opportunity , and I hope everyone a wish of luck.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Wed Jul 28, 2010
2.How many posts have you made in the forum? 3949
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I'm on all day weekends, and about 4-5 hours on weekdays because of school.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: I owned and moderated a website with a few friends once, but it closed down several years ago because we only got twenty members and all were spammers. (We banned all of them, they literally did nothing but spam and got so many warnings we had no choice.)
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? All the time!
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Again, all the time. I love giving critique, and I'm quick to report anything I find that breaks the rules, although a double check everything before I click report.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? It really annoys me when I see art theft and all-word oekakis. I went to help people to understand that these things are not accepted, and will not be tolerated.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? I am good at understanding chatspeak, which I find a lot in the oekaki forums. I am very thorough and I will double check the rules, the drawing, and basically everything before I lock a thread and issue a warning. I can also understand basic French and a little Japanese. I'm good at figuring out whether or not a drawing is traced from a reference image. I am also good at keeping my temper under control and I'm used to "ANGRY PPLZ WHO TALK LEIK DIS!!!!".

Good luck to all who applied!

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Sat Feb 13, 2010 4:46 am
2.How many posts have you made in the forum: 425
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 2-4+
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? I have owned and moderated several wetpaint sites before that were for RP but no one was ever active so I shut them down.
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? All the Time!
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, a lot in fact
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I would like to be a Oekaki Moderator for CS because I feel like everyone who runs this site does so much for us and I'd like to be a part of that to help them and everyone else on CS. Also I have been on here for a long time and I've decided that I wanted to take on a little more of a challenge.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?: I am good with being understanding and not being bias and keeping my cool in a tense situation. I am usually very thorough with a task that is given to me and have had a lot of experience with Chatspeak if I need to understand it. I realize that in this position I'm less likely to be everyone's favorite for giving out warnings etc., but It's worth it to be a contribution and making sure people are following the rules. I don't know if this matters, but I am good with Oekaki layers, and all the tools, as I have been drawing for a while if the need ever arises. I know English because It was my first language as I am American but I take Spanish in school so I know a lot of that too, also some Japanese as I have relatives from there. I'm good with settling arguments and problems as I have a lot of siblings and making sure to carry out any tasks. Thank you so much for your time!

And I wish everyone luck who applied!! Good luck everyone! :3

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: I want to be an oekaki moderator because I think I am repsponisble, of a serious nature and can repsect rules and whether content is age-appropriote. I think I will be able to lock wrong subjects and give members an approchable warning if they have violated any of the offical rules. Personnally, I think I am respectful, empathic and responisble, as well as fair and approchable.
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I have been brought up to be a polite and repesctful person, and I have been told I am especially good at helping people improve without offending them in anyway.
