Foxglove halted, one paw raised in the air as she cocked her head in the little cat's direction. She hissed softly, her tail flicking from side to side in her annoyance. Why was talking to her now, he'd never bothered before. Shooting a glare in his direction, she set off again, flawlessly ignoring his next question, the only gesture giving away that she had even heard him being the quick toss of her head. Spotting another cat in front of her as well, she glanced over her. Snorting, Foxglove slid past her without another word, merely hissing quietly to show her displeasure at being disturbed twice already. She rounded a corner, expertly shouldering her way through the bunch of humans gathered near a car. None of them noticed her, and for now, that would suit her just fine. She didn't need another place to stay until tonight, anyway. There was plenty of time to hunt down an old lady and mew until she heard her.
Robin's laughter was cut off as he felt the air leave his lungs with a thud. Reeling backwards, the tom unsheathed his claws, quickly regaining his balance and bounding over to where his attacker stood, ready to teach them not to mess with him. It surprised him to notice that the cat was little more than a kitten, her golden fur slightly grimy and her blue eyes wide with fear. His eyes honed in on the tattered ribbon around her neck. Stepping back, Robin's tail whisked the grass as he bobbed his head in apology. "My fault," He reassured her, smiling with his eyes. "I shouldn't have been running without looking. I hope I didn't injure you." Nodding at her once more, Robin turned away, searching the park quickly. The woman wasn't there, although he supposed he'd been stupid to think she'd be here. She came in the mornings - at the break of dawn, Robin had often grumbled - and you had to be quick if you wanted to catch her. Curse his short legs and forgetful mind. He would sleep here tonight then. Unless... Peering back over his shoulder at the small cat, he wondered for a moment. Had she made this place her home? Surely they could share if she had, the park was pretty big.
