Do you believe in miracles? This is a story chock full of them. Purity was born with the power of wish granting. So long as someone whispered their heart’s desire she could grant it if she felt the need to. She had been born with a coat as black as the night sky, but as she aged it faded down to a gleaming white. She knew she wouldn’t last forever and decided to have a little fun before she left the world. Searching for days, Purity wandered the vast land and searched for her successor. As a wish granter grew old a new one was born, alas her own mentor had died before telling her how to find their student. One day a light feeling overwhelmed her and she headed towards the East. Something called to her there.

After weeks and weeks she arrived at a town called Thortun City. A boy dressed in a white cloak with lace hems sat there, as if waiting. A strange kinship formed between the two and she knew he had to be the one. Sadly Sony was a sickly boy with many ideas. He had contracted an incurable disease known as “Peter Pan Syndrome.” He would never grow up to be a man. Still, Purity taught him all she knew.

Sony was an intelligent boy and learned quickly. Sometimes Purity would get so tired that she would simply teach him to carve wooden dolls. All Sony felt like doing was tinkering. He enjoyed the feel of metal and nails and made all sorts of fancy contraptions. The day Purity died though he honored her by building a magnificent puppet dog and then went to catch a soul. This was a secret the boy had never told his master. He could see souls floating about. They were blue-white and gleamed with power. He coaxed a soul to follow him.

“Come with me,” he whispered softly. A soul’s voice is very loud in actuality. It echoes throughout your whole body when it talks to you.

“No. I’m trying to find a body,” the soul replied. Its voice was hollow and deep as a male’s.

“I have a body for you,” Sony said slyly. The soul then agreed to follow along and when they approached the wooden dog Sony shoved it in. The dog opened its squeaky eyes looked around wildly.

“Fool! This is no body. This is merely wood!” He yelled in outrage.

After many years Sony himself was starting to grow old and the wooden dog took pity on him. Although Sony had tricked him they had spent many years together and with the body he had Sony had given him the gift of eternal life. Or so he thought.

“Soul, what is your name?” Sony asked one day. His voice no longer brimmed with youth and sunshine. It was cracked and raspy. His fur was white. The wooden dog stared down at his companion. Sony had, even with his small stature, seemed to overpower him. Now it was as if he could barely stand on his own.

“Why do you need to know?” The puppet asked.

“To bind you for eternity. When I die you shall also perish unless I know your name. Tell me. Tell me your name.”

    “Thomas.”

“Thomas,” Sony’s eyes turned a bright white, “I give you the gift of eternity. Goodbye, my friend.”

Sony was the last wish granter to roam the Earth for he had broken an important law. Eternity was a wish that couldn’t be granted without severe consequences. Thomas didn’t know that though and spent the rest of his life looking for a wish granter. He felt he owed it to his old chap who had considered him a friend. Thomas roamed the world, searching in every crook and nanny, for that source of magic.

There was a storm. Thunder crackled overhead and rain poured down as if in a fury. Thomas panicked. He was wood and soggy wood wouldn’t move. His nails would rust. He ran into a mansion, not even stopping to notice that the howling wind didn’t just come from outside but from the inside as well. As soon as he stepped inside his joints started to burn. The nails were wet and his body was turning useless. He froze in place and time.

Thomas didn’t know how long he had been at rest but he was no longer. A familiar sound awoke him from his deep sleep. A hammer banged into his back, replacing the nails that no longer functioned. The soft humming comforted him greatly.

“Sony?” He called, still half asleep. Had his master returned?

“Wrong! It’s Ellie, dear. Short for Elizabeth. You’ve been asleep for quite awhile,” there was a high pitch giggle. Much higher than any girl he had heard before. Then a perfect copy of “Once Upon A December” played.

“You sing well,” he complimented, still not opening his eyes for fear that they would be nailed shut.

“I’m not singing,” she replied as the song continued to play, “can’t you tell? Oh, honey, open your eyes. I promise nothing’s wrong with them.” She sighed and Thomas slowly peeled his eyelids apart. In front of him sat not the damsel he expected, not even an old mistress, but a metal dog. His jaw dropped as he gaped in surprise.

“What? You haven’t seen a dog like me before? I guessed that with your own body you’d be one to judge so quickly for something like this but I assume I was wrong,” she huffed, but continued to fix him up. Thomas swallowed.

“It’s not like that… miss… I was simply surprised. I didn’t think that anyone would be so similar to me,” he muttered self-consciously. She laughed and gave him a hard whack on the shoulder. Thomas cringed even though he felt no pain. The loud noise left plenty up to the imagination.

“Come along,” she called and headed off, “your joints are fixed. Let’s play a game of Poker, shall we?”

He followed the robot dog in the white dress as if in a trance. It had been many a years since he had the company of another being, even one as strange as she made him happy. They played games for hours and talked afterwards. He found out many things about her. Her soul had gotten lost and was knocked into the metal body. Her hair was originally brown but had faded over the years. She was a champion at Go Fish. He in turn told her about his journey. About Sony and how he was to honor a dog he had never met. At Sony’s name she had jumped a bit and when he asked her why she said she didn’t rightly know. Something about that name just seemed familiar for a strange reason.

Spending time with Elizabeth became Thomas’s favorite thing to do. He forgot all about wish granters when he was with her and once he thought he felt Sony’s voice telling him to just live. To forget and move on. Thomas didn’t know if he imagined it or not but took the advice. He and Ellie became close friends. They would chat for hours and play with the ghosts and bats. Go out into town in the midst of the night and steal some snacks.

One day they took a trip to the forest. Thomas sprawled across the grass and gazed at a rose bush nearby. He glanced over at Ellie to see her dancing and laughing, white cloth spinning around her paws. It was then he realized something, he loved her. He truly and utterly adored the metal dog in front of his eyes. Without a thought he plucked a rose with his mouth and padded over.

    “I love you.”

It was short and simple and straight to the point. Ellie stopped dancing and stared at him. A mixture of emotion swirled in her eyes. It was too much for him to read and suddenly a sense of reality returned to him. Nervousness filled him up from head to toe and his heart pounded. What was she thinking?

    “I love you.”

She said, smiling at him and took the rose in her own mouth. Thomas let out a breath of relief and fell back into the grass. “Thank you, Sony, for this gift,” he thought to himself and maybe, just maybe there was the snarky reply of his long time friend. “You better be. I don’t know if you’ve realized but look, I’m dead!”

    ---

I got bored one day and dressed up Fringe's pets. I've had Ellie and Thomas in mind for a while but have been too lazy to do them. Purity and Sony are just kind of randomly made up. I wrote this at around 3 A.M. whilst running off no sleep so don't judge me |D

;u; I wish I could write more but I didn't want to drag down the whole page </3

Posting this on Fringe's account since they're her pets.

Brenden [♂] ----- Sarah [♀]

I’m not the person I want to be,
I’m haunted by old memories.
I want my life to go back a year,
It’s not the same; I’m lonely here.

I hear your voice, but its changed so much,
I find myself dreaming of your soft touch.
Who am I fooling, it’s all just a lie,
I know in my heart I should just say “goodbye”.

I can’t stop now, I’ve fallen to hard,
But I know in the end , it’s me who’ll be scarred.
I want you to rush back into my arms,
With you by my side I’d be safe from all harms.

You have no idea what you’re doing to me,
I wish you could see the same things I see.
I’m hurting myself, misreading your talk,
I’m getting the feeling I just need to walk.

I’m sure these feelings won’t go away,
How I feel is here to stay.
I guess it’s alright with you in my life,
But this is causing myself a great deal of strife.

I’ll force myself to act like I’m alright,
I’m trying so hard but I’m losing my fight.
I’m closing my eyes and holding back tears,
I hate what you’re doing, it’s all that I feared.

But all of a sudden, your voice becomes clear,
All that you’ve said, it’s all been sincere.
The suns coming out, it isn’t so bad,
Maybe we can repeat the times that we had.

The butterflies inside me have come back alive,
My head is spinning, I’ve never felt so high.
It wasn’t a lie, just all in my head,
It might be alright, I have nothing to dread.

I wrote a poem, a bad one but yeah...
Sorta based on events ahppening in my life.

So what do ya think?

---Theo------------------------------------------Aleah---
Theo crouched behind a bush, bow at the ready. He stiffened as he saw her; stepping gracefully into the clearing, alert to sounds. As she stopped to drink from the stream, he shot her. She died instantly; not a single scream of pain escaped her mouth. She fell gracefully, her legs buckling beneath her, and Theo hurried over to her lifeless body, slipping his knife from its sheath.
He skinned the doe quickly and efficiently, storing both the hide and meat in his game bag to be treated later. And that's when he saw her.
Standing before him, clothed all in white and lilac, her beautiful purple eyes stared accusingly into his own. He drew a second arrow and nocked it to his bow, but as he was taking aim, he blinked.
And she was gone.

Aleah snarled to herself as she ran. She was angry: at her doe for being so careless, at herself for not being there in time, and at the strange, green-eyed boy who had killed her best breeding doe. And in the middle of mating season, too! She still had some offspring of the dead doe to continue to repopulate the forest, but the best stag was their father. She snarled again and in her fury punched a passing tree. It splintered and cracked, leaving a huge fist-shaped hollow, but she didn't care. Let them track her. Let them seek their own deaths.
Because right now, she was so angry that she would kill any humans on sight.

Megan-------------------Joe

Part 1: Hard Rock Cafe
I stood on the start line, my legs bent, muscles tensed and ready. My eyes were trained on the finish line and at that moment, nothing else mattered.
"Ready..."
I repositioned myself on the line, making sure my toe was behind the strip of white paint.
"Set..."
I lowered my body, raising one arm behind me and the other in front.
"Go!"
I leapt forward, legs churning. A few other girls drew ahead of me, and I recognised Sandra's face as she drew level with me. Fury lent me strength and I powered forward, gradually overtaking the others until only Rhea was in front of me. The finish line was only a few metres away and I leapt forward with a sudden burst of speed, running past Rhea and over the line. I stood, stunned for a moment, as the others thundered past. Naomi, Joe's girlfriend, approached me.
"High five, Megan! You won!" she grinned. I slapped palms with her and laughed. As I got my breath back we wandered back towards the seating area.
"I never knew you could run like that, Megan!" she exclaimed as we walked. I laughed. "Thanks, me neither," I grinned. "Kinda came as a surprise."
As we sat down, Joe came over. "Congrats Megan!" he grinned. I thanked him and smiled... then disappeared in a group of friends who wanted to congratulate me. I sighed and smiled sadly. It seemed like I never got any time alone with Joe.
***
I looked at the table at which my mum and her friends, along with the younger children, sat. Full. Typical. But maybe that wasn't so bad.
Joe and I sat together at a smaller table and ordered our lunch. He sat across from me at a diagonal. We made small talk then I stole his iPhone. Browsing his apps, I saw Truth or Dare 18+. Selecting that, I typed in our names and shook the phone. Joe's name came up.
"Joe. Truth or dare?" I asked, looking up.
"What are you doing?" he asked mistrustfully.
"Truth or Dare. Duh. So, Truth or Dare?"
He moved round the table and sat next to me. "Truth."
We played for a while, then a couple of Joe's friends arrived and sat a few tables down from us. Outof the corner of my eye, I could see them waving Joe over. He looked between them and me, then shook his head. A small smile touched my lips as we continued to play.
Finally our lunch arrived. When we were finished, Joe and his family began to pack up. "See you tomorrow, Megan," smiled Joe. "See you," I replied.
Part 2: The Pool
"Ah! Joe!" I squealed as he aimed the hose at me. I leapt out of its path but he turned and trained it on me again. I was laughing despite myself, enjoying my time with him immensely. The spray had got me several times and it was cold, my blue bikini absorbing the icy water, but it was a hot day and even Joe had stripped down to his grey camo trunks.
I cannonballed into Joe's pool, soaking him from head to toe. "Megan!" he yelled. "I'll get you for that!" Abandoning the hose, he ran and leapt into the pool. I turned away at the last second as a wave of water drenched my light brown hair, just missing my face. Joe swam beneath me and grabbed at my legs, pulling me off balance and causing me to fall. Water got in to my nose and mouth and I coughed as I surfaced. Joe swam over to me, concerned.
"Are you okay?"
A wall of water was his answer. His dark brown hair was plastered to his head and neck and he blinked at me in surprise. I had to laugh at his bewildered expression and soon he joined in.
"Joey! Megan!" called his mum, Linda. "Max and Emma are here!"
I grinned. "Hey, Max! Hey, Emma!" I called as the pair stepped through the gate. "Come swimmming!"
Both nipped inside to get changed but were soon out again, short, stocky Max in long black trunks and tall, slender Emma in a navy bikini. They slid into the water, Emma giving a gasp of surprise at the cold.
"Hey! Let's see how many of us will fit in that boat!" suggested Max. I laughed and climbed out of the pool, then pushed Joe's inflatable orange boat in. Emma climbed in, then I leapt in opposite her. Joe slithered in next to me and I was suddenly very aware of his leg resting lightly against mine. Max tried to climb in behind us and Joe turned to push him out, unsuccessfully. I poked him in the side and he fell out. Joe turned to me and I for a moment, just a moment, his deep brown eyes met my pale blue ones. Then Emma burst out laughing and the moment was gone.
I heard a click as the gate opened and turned to see two of Joe's friends, Ryan and Akis, standing in the gateway. I heard a yawn beside me and felt a slight pressure round my shoulders. Turning back again, I saw Joe with his arm around me. It took a second for the penny to drop, and I sat for a moment, conflicting thoughts and emotions running through my head, before shoving him away. What would Naomi say?!? She was a year older than me, but she was still one of my closest friends and I didn't want to upset her.
"Geddoff! What the h*ll? Geddoff me!" I laughed.
"Okay! Okay! Sorry, jeez!" he replied, withdrawing his arm. He laughed for a second, then noticed his friends standing in the gateway.
"Oh sh*t, Ryan's here," he muttered before sliding out of the boat, gasping at the cool water. I glanced at Emma, both of us shocked, then we started to giggle simultaneously.
Part 3: Magura
I wiped the sweat from my forehead and let out my breath with a puff. I could feel thirst building in my throat and I swallowed. We had been walking for four hours and my legs were starting to ache.
"Dad," I called, "could I have some of that water?"
"Sure, just give me a minute!" he called back. Joe glanced at me.
"You can have some of mine," he offered and turned so I could slip the bottle out of his backpack. "Thanks," I replied, then to Dad; "'S'okay Dad, Joe's given me some!"
He looked a little miffed, but turned and walked on. I finished my gulp and slipped it back in. "Thanks again."
We kept walking and eventually got back to the villa. I collapsed on the sofa with Emma and Joe went to get himself a drink from the kitchen. When he came back I called out "Go got me one, will you?" I didn't expect him to and I was already standing up when he replied. "Sure." He wandered in to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of Pepsi. I took it gratefully and smiled at him. "Thanks again, Joe."
"No problem."
***
Later I went in to the kitchen and got myself another Pepsi. As I marked it off on the sheet, I noticed Joe had written
1 2 Pepsis, Wadsworth
I frowned slightly. He'd put it under his own name, which was really sweet, but... why?

Time to continue the ongoing saga of Megan and Joe, I think ;)
Part 4: Leaving
"I'll miss you," I whispered into Joe's shoulder as he held me close. "I really, really will."
"I'll miss you too, Megan," he replied.
"Megan! Come on, we have to go!" called my mum. Joe squeezed me one last time, then let go and stepped back. "Goodbye."
Wiping a tear from my eye, I stood on my tiptoes and planted a light kiss on his cheek. He looked surprised, and without another word I ran back to the car that would take us to the airport. As I looked out the back window I saw Joe still standing there, watching the taxi leave, his hand resting on his cheek.
***
I sat in the aeroplane, looking out across Bucharest as we took off. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I left what had been my home for two and a half years behind. But mostly the tear was for Joe, who I would probably never see again.

This is a sad but true story. I keep in contact with him on Facebook, but I miss him horribly. I mixed a few bits of the last bit together because it was long and complicated, but everything else is true and unabridged, exactly as I remember it. I miss you, Joe. </3

I had missed the first parts to the story, so just read the whole thing now (a great way to avoid working at work  ), and the story was great, sad that it was a true story. I'm glad you guys do still keep in touch, even though it's through facebook :)

Fallen [♂] .&. Kanzika [♀]

Here comes goodbye,
Here come the last time,
Here comes the start of every sleepless night
The first of every tear I'm gonna cry. . .

"But I-I can change, I--"
"No you can't, Fallen. You always say you can but you can't." tears trickling down her cheeks, she grabbed her keys, buttoning up her coat.
I realized that there would be no second chance, the door clicking shut as she left.
"I love you." I whispered to myself. I could not stand here, could not just stay still and think about what would have happened if I could've said it sooner. Sitting down on the sofa, I shoved my hand in my pocket, pulling out the velvety blue box. I opened it, my eyes on the diamond ring inside. It dropped to the floor, leaving my view as I had my face in my hands. It shouldn't have been like this. I should've done something, I should've been able to say it sooner... But I was scared. Scared that she wouldn't feel the same. Scared that this exact thing would happen if I did, little did I know that it would happen if I didn't.

One day I thought I'd see her,
With her daddy by her side,
And violins would play
"Here comes the bride"
But here comes goodbye. . .

Years had passed since I last saw her, walking out into the chilly night air and leaving me by myself. I coud not say I had forgotten her, nor could I say I had moved on. But I was able to cope through the daytime, leaving the tears and the wondering for the nights when I was alone. It wasn't so bad around other people. Until one of her friends brought up how she was so happy with this other guy.
I should've been that guy.

Here comes the pain,
Here comes me wishing things had never changed
And she was right here in my arms tonight,
But here comes goodbye. . .

It didn't hurt so much to hear the story of her and this guy. Atleast she'd found some sort of happiness. What really hurt was seeing them together, huddled under an umbrella and gazing at each other with such love in their eyes. They leaned in closer. I turned and began to walk the other way.
That night wasn't good. I had gotten an e-mail invitation to her wedding. Thinking she was insane for sending it while glaring at the poem and the picture of the two, I almost didn't notice the next e-mail. It was from her.
'Sent to wrong person, sorry.'
That hurt. Worse than I thought it would.

There's pictures of you and I on the walls around me
The way that is was and could've been surrounds me
I'll never get over you walking away
I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that being strong meant never losing your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain,
To Hell with my pride, let it fall like rain from my eyes
Tonight I wanna cry. . .

Tears rolled down the half-empty bottle of red wine. She had always had some around for the gatherings she often held. Maybe if I couldn't think straight, I couldn't feel the pain. With half the bottle drank, it still didn't go away. My fingers around the bottle, I brought it to my lips again, with hopes that even if the pain didn't go, it could act sort of a numbing to make it less intense.
Now with the liquid completely gone, I didn't know what to do. This pain still cut me like a knife to the heart. How could I make it go away? I glanced at the knife-set on the countertop, a crazy idea striking me. The dead felt no pain. . . As I reached out, my fingers brushing the handle, the doorbell rang. Who on earth would come out at midnight, especially with the rain pounding down? I swallowed hard, before walking over to the door. Her face greeted me, to my surprise. "K-Kanzi?" I stuttered, reaching out to touch her. There was. . . There was nothing. A trick of my mind. The doorbell hadn't rang. She hadn't been there. It was all a mirage. I slammed the door shut, running back to the kitchen.
My hand shook, the tip of the blade poised over my heart. If I was dead, I would feel no pain. There was no way I was ever going to get over her, no way I was ever going to be happy again without her. Taking a deep breath, I hesitated. Nobody would care if I was gone. Nobody.
The last thing I saw before the world went black was the knife, plunged into my chest.

Witnessing him in that hospital bed. . . It made me realize just how foolish I had been. The straight line and the echoing beep from the heart monitor was the focus of my eyes, before they switched to his face. The tears would not stop, pouring down upon him. I touched my hand to his face, gazing at his handsome features, still and lifeless, before whispering the words he had never said but I knew he felt.

"I love you."

@Lila @Atermis -
Thank you both! For some reason, I'm stuck on sad stories. Almost cried while writing that one, actually

{xXx} && Varya

I dunno. I figured the first one needed something a bit more simple to bring it down.
