Mah name is on it!!!!! -cries with joy-
I don't really want MCR to be mainstream either, I like the group of fans they have now, it wouldn't be the same if EVERYBODY liked them, even though it wouldn't be horrible if less people hated them. Gah, I'm such a hypocrite T-T

My Chemical Romance and Paramore
are the most mainstream bands out there that are under the rock music catagory.
So when you say 'I don't want them to go mainstream.' They're already there.
Everyone knows Paramore or something about them. Hayley's hair, one day it's pink next day it's orange. Or the fact that the
Farro brothers left. Or the song on the radio 'The Only Exception'.
Same goes for MCR after SING was on Glee, that made all the Glee fans more intrested in My Chemical Romance.
Gerard's problems in the past made people relate to him and the songs he writes and sings. Do you know how many people suffer from
a drug problem or they're acholics?
People can't help the way they do things. It's an addiction and they can't stop it.
They can try,though.
That's why music and My Chemical Romance mean so much to people who
have recovered or haven't, they can relate and everyone relating is the big thing,it ties everyone together.
We relate because we love the band and the music they make.
So if just a few people on some kid website can come together and discuss what they love about MCR.
Think about how many other people in the world do.
And that's what I believe makes them mainstream. Bands like, Taking Back Sunday, Mute Math,Blue
October, Manchester Orchestra, countless bands don't have fanclubs on here or a lot of other websites. Why do you think that?
It's because a lot of people aren't firmiliar with them.
They AREN'T mainstream, but we all joined a club about MCR and that club is thriving because this band is popular or mainstream.

I don't get it. Why did you post that, E?
I don't really think MCR are mainstream, I just think that they have gotten more popular and have taken advantage of opportunities that were presented to them that could send their message out. Yeah, SING is played a lot, but that just means people like it. Do you not remember when Teenagers and Black Parade where played a lot? Trending songs come and go.

Gerard personally said that they did Glee so that they could spit in the face of pop music. I still hope that some of their Revenge/Bullets/B Parade selves are still there, and they will never become mainstream.

This^^

And I understand what you're saying E, but as kisses said I really don't think MCR can be considered 'mainstream' they are by far more popular than bands like blue october, but I think that is because they have more of a 'message' than other bands do.

I posted it Chemical Kisses because I'm very opinionated and I do believe
they are mainstream. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I do still respect My Chemical Romance.
Don't believe everything you hear, hun.
He might have said that and I'm not saying he's lying but 3/4 of artist/musicians do it for the money.

And I understand what you're saying E, but as kisses said I really don't think MCR can be considered 'mainstream' they are by far more popular than bands like blue october, but I think that is because they have more of a 'message' than other bands do.
More of a message?

Are you kidding me?
Have you ever been molested, I bet not. I have though.
And Blue October speaks out to people who suffer from being molested, raped, cheated on, having your heart broken, being poor, having no one believe in you and being suicidal.
And if that isn't 'More' of a message then Honey, what would one be?

Maybe Blue October isn't more popular because people listen to trash these days?

If Gerard can sing about teenagers scaring the living [censored] out of him and you think that's a message, maybe he should grow some balls and stop being a wuss.
I'm happier now.
