Dead Accounts

I don't know if anyone has asked about this yet, and if they have, I am sorry...

I was just wondering if dead accounts ever get deleted, or if they will sometime in the future? Like, say, if a member hasn't been on in X number of days/weeks/months, does their username disappear and their pets go to the Pound?

If not, I was thinking this might even be a good idea... I see a few members from 08 that haven't been on in years, with stockpiles of really rare pets that I'm sure every person on CS would like to see in rotation rather than sitting in a dead account.

Again, I'm sorry if this has been inquired about previously or can be deemed inappropriate or begging in any way.

As far as I am aware, no. As long as old accounts have pets on them, they will never be deleted - because we have no way of knowing whether or not the creator might one day decide to come back. It'd be pretty upsetting if you suddenly one day decided you wanted to rejoin CS, only to discover your account and pets were all gone.

Furthermore, maybe they left for life reasons. Sometimes life just gets in the way and requires your full attention for a couple years. Doesn't mean the person will never return; just that for the time, they can't.

Better to leave the door open for any old member who wants to come back to CS ;3

People have come back to accounts even after two years, we like that that's possible, so we don't want to delete inactive accounts.
