Zyx looked at her. "I just traveled here. From far away." He said, his amber eyes gazing into an unknown land.

Lily whimpered in her sleep, and curled closer into Chad.

Chad smiled and stroked his tail over her to calm her.

Rainbow looked at him, "Awesome." She said.

Lily whimpered again, quietly though, and she stopped shaking as she felt Chad's warmth close to her.

Zyx shook his head. "It wasn't." He said bitterly.

Rainbow looked at him, "Okay. Not awesome....?" She said, raising an eyebrow.

Chad smiled and snugged up closer to her.

Zyx stared at her, considering whether to tell her or not. He took a long time. "I was exiled." He said eventually, watching Rainbow, his eyes thoughtful.

Lily woke up. "Morning." She said sweetly, licking Chad's muzzle.

"Morning." Chad said, smiling as she licked him.

Rainbow looked at him, "Why? What did you do?" She asked curiously.

"Love you." Lily said yawning as she woke. Then she froze, realizing what she had said.

"Errr, I flirted with the Alpha male's mate." Zyx admitted, ashamed.

Rainbow shrugged, "Whatcha gonna do?" She asked giggling.

Chad smiled and nuzzled her, but he knew she said it by accident. "I love you too." He said softly.

"Nothing. I was banned from the pack, and from my mate. That's why I'm a loner." Zyx said, regret creeping over his normally emotionless face.

Lily smiled, relieved. "I meant it." She said seriously, cuddling up to him.

Rainbow looked at him, not knowing what to say. She just nodded, "I know what you mean."

Chad smiled, "I do too." He said and nuzzled her.
