These stories are very quiet touching. But all the talk of how God is so evil is quite unneccessary and off topic. Just talk about your pets. Please keep your religious views to yourself. You could offend people, and fights can break out, which most of us don't want to deal with here.
Thanks,
S.K.

I was actually debating warning about that, but I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but You're right, that talk isn't needed here. c:

This is Rin.

I had no friends in school, I was picked on, made fun of, and most of all, my family didn't take any notice to my pain at the time. I was sad, depressed, and an emotional wreck. I had no one to turn to, no one to talk my problems out to with. I was alone.

After my mother picked me up from school one day we stopped by our local pet store to buy some dog food. I wandered around a bit, looking at all of the other pets for sale. I stumbled around an open feeder rat tank and noticed a small, white, nearly bald rat in the corner. I watched her for a few minutes and noticed she was picked on a lot. Other rats would chew on her ears and pluck at her fur. She wouldn't squeak though. She'd just lie there.

After a while of thinking, I bought her with my own money after my mother told me it was time to go. I made sure she had already walked out of the store before I quickly brought the little abused rat to the counter and payed for her. The cashier put her in a nice little box, and I stuck it inside of my jacket. After I got in the car, I opened it and slid my hand inside to pet her. She was very soft for a nearly bald rat. And very calm.

After we got home, quickly walked into my room and rummaged around in my closet for an old cage I had that belonged to my sister's hamster. I gathered a bit of old bedding and put more than enough inside to make sure she was as comfortable as possible. But as soon as I put her inside, she refused to let me close the cage. So, I let her crawl around on my bed a bit and play with my fingers. After a while of that, she snuggled into my side against my shirt and started to fall asleep. I started to stroke the top of her head a bit. A few seconds passed and she woke up and looked up at me and yawned, making the cutest little squeak. After that, she began to lick my fingers and pull them closer, as if she were hugging me. I know she probably wasn't, but that's sure what it felt like.

We've been inseparable ever since. She's almost two years old now and my mother knows about her. She likes Rin, but she doesn't really want anything to do with her.
Needless to say, Rin is my best friend and understands me more than any human probably could. She replies to me in little squeaks when I call her name, and she licks my cheeks and nose when I cry. She even sleeps on my computer desk and on my shoulder.
I learned that big things can come in small packages. Especially love and friendship.

I've never had a better friend. And now I don't feel so alone.

@ East & SinIxto;

Thank you,
Means a lot that you both think that.
Rats are very misunderstood. <3 They make great friends. ^~^

Tilly......My Bmd,my love,my best friend.....Tilly died 2 days before i joined cs,not before she looked at me for one last time with her big, brown, wonderful eyes....This is Tilly's story,as told to me by mum:
The pound was full of innocent pets.Unloved.Unwanted.Some of them had their death sentence written before they were even born.
Struggling to hold her tears back,a woman was walking patiently around the cages. All of a sudden, she stopped in front of a big, black, brown and white dog.As she leaned on her knees, tears came streaming down her face."I'm so sorry,girl....I'm so sorry.....Come on,it's going to be fine....".The dog came in front of the woman, and licked the tears on her face.
She has never had a real home,a name or an owner all of her life. She has always been alone, trying her best to survive on the streets since she was tiny, fighting for a piece of bread since she opened her eyes....Fighting for life...Some poor people took her off the street, and took care of her, sharing their little everything with a dog, which was giving people all that a poor dog could give:love. But the people themselves found a "home".The city council built them shelter, but for one reason or another, the poor family had to pick between the dog and a home....Since then, the huge shepherd like dog was alone. She wouldn't get why.She felt powerless, incapable of doing anything, not worthy of living....So she let herself caught by animal control.Taken to a shelter, locked in a cage, waiting to die....
As the woman and the dog were patiently walking on the shelter's paths,a morbid silence surrounded the cages. No dogs whined nor barked, and the only sound was the sound of claws on the marbled floor, sometimes accompanied by little splashes....Out of nowhere,a door squeaked. Both the woman and the big dog stopped. The shepherd raised her ear,and looked towards the door. What attracted both's attention was the baby in her mother's arms. The blonde woman let the baby down:the baby girl giggled,as she tried to take some steps. The woman with the dog smiled.Just as the toddler took a few steps, she stumbled. The mum looked worried towards her baby, but the dog was there. The baby laughed and hugged the shepherd,as she fell on her soft fur.The woman started to cry."Why would you cry?"asked the babies mum."I think we can take this dog,right?""Well,actually..."...The dog licked the toddler's little hand, wagging her tail;the baby giggled and hugged the dog again."Let me talk to my boss!"the woman said, wiping off the tears on her face. The shepherd looked in the babies eyes, and then at the baby's mum.She knew she finally found her forever home....
Ever since then,Tilly was there for the girl, once the baby who saved her life.sad moments and happy moments alike,Tilly supported her.And no matter what would have happened,Tilly always knew she belonged with the girl.ALWAYS
