The wolf's or wolves' were there first, and we just came in and pushed them away. Also, they see our livestock as food, of course, and hey, it's in their territory, so why shouldn't they be able to get some food? I also say that, the wolf's or wolves' are attacking the livestock because their normal food supply, the elk, might have gone down in number from overhunting by humans.

If I were a farmer, and a wolf tried to kill my livestock, that would result in a dead wolf.

Haha, if I were a farmer and a wolf tried to kill my livestock, I'd simply move to another place. I think.

That about wolves attacking without reason is kinda strange, because it means a lot of energy they waste, as someone said before.
And yeah i'll probably do that as well.

I would do that ^ Never would I kill a wolf for killing my livestock.

Fairwell Chickensmoothie! It was a good run.

If there is anyone who I unfortunately left any loose ends open with when I originally disappeared from the site near the end of 2012, you're welcome to drop a PM if you'd like to try to resolve them. It has admittedly been far too many years for me to remember precisely what all may have been left unsettled.

In addition, if anyone sees this and would like to try to reestablish contact, you're more than welcome to drop me a message as well. I'll try to poke my head in over the next few months at the least in case any of the above happens, but cannot guarantee how often messages will be checked after that.

Best Regards,
HOWLING

I agree. If a wolf killed my livestock, I'd move. Simple as that. Don't want to harm the animal, it was there before me has a right to its territory.

I agree all the way. And, about the wolves attacking out of the blue, I think I still give my 'humans encroaching on the wolf's/wolves' territory' theory to that. Or perhaps the human was near a hidden den where the wolf had a family or a pack or something, and was trying to protect them? There should be some reason.

I wouldn't go through the whole process of moving just so that the wolf wouldn't come back. It's far to complicated.
I would kill a wolf for killing my livestock, because livestock is important to a farmer. It's what helps him make money, and without his livestock, his life would be far more difficult. Wolves are far too overrated these days.

About the out of the blue thing, that seems highly unlikely. A wolf usually has a reason for attacking someone, for a reason unknown to the person. They're highly territorial so the territory theory makes a lot of sense.

((@SummerFlow)) Well, I agree sort of, yes a livestock is important to a farmer, but the farmer could've tried to find a place where no other animals lived sort of, if you get my flow. One without bears or wolves, or big cats or anything. Because the bears and wolves and such will protect their territory, and if they see these big 'free' cows and goats of course they'd go for it, especially if their normal food supply was in shortage.

((@FallenAsh)) Yes I agree. C:

Wolves will not just out of the blue attack a human. Most likely the wolves have rabies and makes them go mad, or they are just defending their family and pups. But also the humans might be antagonising the wolf.

U MAD?!?!?

@Spirit~Wolf
I see what you're talking about. Though I would only do that if there were a lot of wolves in the area.

@Kaylawolf
It has happened before. Some people have simply been walking by and then a woof attacked them.
