Why does it have to be an arabian if you jumped it? Why couldn't it be some other breed, a warmblood or tb mix?

Arabians can be good jumpers, but I think other breeds have a higher succesful jumping rate, and also they were bred to jump, were arabs weren't.

The arab I ride, we jump sometimes, and she's a bit all over the place with it. Gets confused with her feet, anticipates, moves funny over poles. She's trying, she's just not that great at it. But we're working on it. But they are great all-around horses.

Well Toppy, if I may, Arabians can be taught to be wonderful jumpers, but you have to train them with it all the time. Arabians in my opinion are horses that can focus on one thing at a time because they are so high spirited, but if you give them enough patience and good training and you correct all the problems they make right off the bat, then you can have an amazing jumper. And arabians as you said "are all around good horses" so once you train them in one thing, you can continue to train them in the next, and if you teach an arabian to jump, and they already have good stamina they make amazing cross country comp horses.

do you own any horses? if so what breed: Yep. We have alot...I live on a ranch so we have alot of ranch horses. Mostly Quarter horses, Quarabs, Miniatures, Drafts and Arabs. I have a Quarter Horse/Mustang/Halflinger though :D
wanted breed of horse: Another Halflinger (they have teddy bear personalitys) or a Mustang or a Friesien
What would you name your horse: Bullet or Trigger :D
does arabian blood flow through all light horses today: Yep
Other: Arabian Horses Rock

I had 7 Arabian mares one time and an Arab stud horse. The mares, well, they were Arabians. And the stud was one of the nicest stud horses I have ever met. He let little kids ride him :D One of our mares, was a proffesional Arabian race horse. You know those Arab race horses? She was one of them. I don't remember her registered name, but she was beautiful. She looked like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0nU628tq7iQ/S ... rabian.jpg Her name was Angel. She was my Quarab mare's mom. We had one Arab that could jump anything though. Her name was Maggie, and she was this big sorrel mare. She would jump the fence, into the stud's pasture and go eat his hay, and she never got bred either. She was an amazing jumper.
There's something to be said for a place that hasn't had all the rough rode out of it.

Today, I rode a Quarter Horse. :3
I prefer Arabians, though, because the one I ride is very much more calmer. My arabs Canter is a trot
and the QHs trot, is a freaking gallop to him. /dies/

haha lol, My papa's quarter horse Is like that too, If you nudge him a little in the side or make the clicking noise on your tongue he will take advantage of that, cause all he wanted to do back when I was little was to run, I used to gallop at about 30-40 miles an hour for about 1/4 of a mile.

Thats how my barrel horse is. The Mustang/Halflinger/Quarter Horse. You flex at all or make a sound, he starts going.

Haha lol, his old mustang used to need a good nudging, but once you let him know you wanted to go fast he would just kick it in full gear. He was always hesitant to go fast though he'd be like "are you sure"? He was a wild mustang, me and my papa personally caught him, so he's pretty fast.
