Melody nodded at Bree and Jack, then took a coil of rope and set about tying down stacks of boxes. They contained normal supplies, of course- salted meats, grain, things for trade- but they also hid a secret that nobody aside from the crew knew about. Most of the boxes had false bottoms, and in each one was a share of treasure. If the Maiden went down, anyone boarding it would find nothing but merchant supplies. The treasure would sink with the ship. Each crewmember had an equal share of treasure, with extra for those who had lost arms, or legs, or other body parts. The captain also got twice as much as the rest of the crew, to pay for expenses on the ship. Grinning at this ingenious hiding trick, Melody continued to lash down the boxes.

((Mhm))
"There's no avoiding it now!" cried Ingo, who had been looking out her spyglass. "That's a storm and we're heading traight for it, get everything tied down including yourselves," said Ingo, this is just what had to happen. Things had been going wrong for a good while now, the way they managed this storm was the difference between Indigo's life and death. She looked around the ship, at the crewmembers, she had faith in them, theycould get through this.

Ingo began to tie things down, just as Rodney emerged above deck. "Everything's secure down below," he said with a nod, then set to getting everything else tied. Ingo was grateful for this information, but all the same she headed below deck, Rodney's tying skills were...limited. She had to reknot a couple of things and hammer a few loose bits and pieces, but soon all was well, except Indigo.
Betty was still helping her, but she was unconscious, and all was not well.
