With a small twist of the head, I glanced back at the school that used to be plain pin-neat and boringly bland. Aha, see my alliteration there? I'm so cool.
Anyway, instead of plain, it was now a burnt colour with orange fire licking everything. Instead of pin-neat it was all peeling and horrible, with the pale-pink paint flaking off in big clumps. Instead of boring it was eye-catching, and instead of bland it was completely the opposite.
Am I rambling on a bit there? Should I tell you how my a-m-a-z-i-n-g conversation with James went? Yeah. I think I will.
Well, while James had speakers block and stopped talking, I tried to start it off again. "So you doing good in your lessons then?"
"Um, no not really. I'd love for someone to tutor me on some stuff. Not super tricky but I just can't get them." He explained, twiddling with his fingers. "And you? Were you clever and doing good in lessons when you were over in America?"
"Not to brag but I was top of the class in all of my years apart from one." I boasted with a broad grin on my pale face.
James gave out a laugh and stared me in the eyes. "See, that's the kind of person I need to tutor me, really. Someone new, and clever."
I was kind of happy he'd said that. "Well... I could always tutor you, if you'd like..."
With a shocked expression slapped across his hot face, he said loudly, "Y'know, that would be great. But I need to know where you live, or you could come over mine. To tutor."
"I'll come yours. Where is it though... if you don't mind me asking?" I added softly.
"I live on Regineal Road. I'll be in all day tonight to be honest. Any time really." He replied.
"Great, I'll be there."
"It's a date then! I mean, a tutor date. Oh, you know what I mean."
