One of my's mom's friends has a daughter named Courtney (which is also my sister's name lol) and she has a horse named Goose. Courtney is way too rough on Goose and they haven't been out at the barn for at least a month.
I asked my mom if I could ride Goose, but she said he was too wild. I've ridden Goose before and he has to be the perfect horse. He's really sweet and honestly I only think he's like that because of Courtney.
Anyone know how to convince her to let me ride Goose?

I'm not a beginner rider. I can control horses and have ridden Goose before. He's like a big teddy bear.
The first time I rode Goose, he was amazing and afterwords, my mom told me Goose sometimes rears. Then on a trail ride, we came to a creek. Goose used to hate water and he did a gigantic leap over it. He had to have jumped at least three feet or more and I had not exoected it.

well, frist of all, you said it's someone elses horse right? well frist you need to ask the owner if you can ride him. then you should work on your mom.

dose your mom know you have ridden him before? has your mom ever be close up to the horse? dose your mom even know him very well? maybe all you need to do, is get the horse and the mom toether, and let your mom see how nice he is.

how well are you with horses? maybe you need to work or do something more with horses, and show your mom you can handle them. then she might let you ride, or aleast be with him.

i've had a horse rear before when i was on it, but it wasn't that bad. i didn't know it was going to happen, but it did, and i held on, and i was just fine. it was scary at the time, but after, i thought it was the coolest thing!

I see. Okay, then you need to tell the owner of that club that that stamp is copyrighted from dA and that the artist of the stamp clearly states that she does not want the stamp taken off site, or she will take legal action.

I think she got permission, not sure, will ask though..

Have a lesson tomorrow with my friend. :3 I wonder who I'll ride. *Sigh* I know that I won't be riding Uman, because my trainer says that I know him too well and that I can't learn anymore on him. D:< So I hope that I can ride Summer. Or maybe even Harley-Butt. I haven't ridden him in FOREVER. He is mostly used in beginner lessons now, but he jumps like a dream and shows 3 foot.
I don't really want to ride Imax because he isn't fit enough to jump yet.
We got a new TB gelding in.... but my trainers are just keeping him at our barn and exercising him until he gets bought. Maybe my friend will try him, she is looking for a horse. If not, I'd love to ride him, he is 6 and I love riding the babies. xD Like little 4/5 year old Summer.


But ANYWAY, awesome news! 8D My trainer says that I can come out and hack Uman whenever I want to, for free! Because I've put a lot of work into him, and I've worked a lot at the barn over the summer. I'm going to drag my mom out there as much as I can to ride him, so excited.

I have a horse show tomorrow ^^ We're doing jumpers this time and I'm on a speedy little mare so it should be fun.
Just poofing in, I have to go to sleep soon so I can get up early. x3

Had a lesson today. Exhausting. We worked on Flying Ws, and Bow-ties. Doc was being a butt hole, he was very fresh. Gawd. So...anyway, during the lesson Lora, the est student riders says something about obstacles, I was so freakishly freaking confused. As we walked out of the arena, I spotted a large hay ring set on it's side, supported by wooden blocks, and at the top, foam pool noodles were tied across the top. We had to ride threw it...Gosh. So I got off and led Doc through a few times. I mounted back up and watched my trainer, Lora, and my friend go through it. So I took a deep breath, and a kicked Doc, and we rode through it like it was nothin'! Yay for my weenie! So it was a major acheviment in my book. I'm such a loser it's pitiful.

I rode Cotton today, and he was perfect! He listened to my leg aids, and he was perfect. I trotted him for a bit, but mostly walked. sam sam was over here when I rode. I have one problem; Cotton's trot is super bouncy and jerky, mainly due to his pasterns and other conformmation things. Is there any way to make him less bouncy, or make it better for me?

Not really. Get him a good saddle pad and a good saddle might help.
