Sandstar smiled. She kept her thoughts to herself. "Why don't you go hunt a bit. I'm going back to camp. Things to do." She stood up and walked off, still smiling at her plans.

'Okay!' Forestpaw bounded off to hunt. She creeped slowly on a mouse, noticing the way it was shuffling an deverything. She pounced, killing it quickly. She came back to camp with two mice, a starling, and a shrew in her jaws.

Mosspaw shuffled around Flickerheart, who said "Can you stop? That's irritating." "Okay." He replied. He noticed a mouse an caught it.

"I'm gonna catch something today!" Waterpaw mewed enthusiasticly. She refused to go back to camp empty-pawed.

Hawksky nodded, "Great! I'll go hunt too. Meet back here at Sunhigh?" he suggested, glad his apprenice seemed happy again.

Sandstar walked into her den and thought about her apprentice.

Amberheart stopped. They had reached the last place they saw the fox. Tears formed in Amberheart's eyes, and tried to blink them away.

Wolfclaw looked around for some other cats to hunt with.

Sandstar groomed her pelt. She walked up to Wolfclaw. "Are you taking out a patrol?" she asked.

Hawksky stalked a squirrel and pounced. He carried it by its fluffy tail back to his temporary "prey pile". He decided that his two voles, a mouse, a thrush, and the squirrel were probably enough, so he sat and waited for Waterpaw.

Nightsplash sat around camp.

Rainwhisper rubbed his cheek against Amberheart comfortingly. He didn't say anything, but his eyes comunicated his sympathy for her pain.

Waterpaw sniffed around the whole forest,until she caught the faint scent of a squirrle. It stopped at a large Oak tree. She sniffed the bark,and realized it went upwards,getting stronger the higher it was. She sighed. She wasn't going to give up on this one! She hooked her claws into the bark and steadily climbed upward, her claws quietly scraping against the bark. She pricked her ears as she heard the sounds of a squirrle. Many of them. At least three or four. She spotted a small hole quickly. She balanced on a strong tree branch and quietly walked across it,her claws diging into it for support. She tried to not think about how high she was. As she got closer,the hole became silent. She knew they had heard or scented her. She quickly plunged her claws into the hole. She hooked one's tail and quickly pulled it out,clawing it's back. She grabbed the other one, but the third escaped.running up to a higher postion. She killed the second,and felt very guilty for almost killing the whole family. The squirrle that got away would be without a family. The poor thing! She stared guiltily down at the two dead ones, and sadly climbed back down the tree. When she got to the bottom, she started crying.
