For me, it's the same. I live on the other side of the world from you guys, and i just started high school DX so I guess I won't be flying over to do this... but anyway, i'm only an hour or two away from japan >:D but i've got school...

If you love dolphins and are looking for a way you can help them, then you should join us at your local Japanese embassy or consulate on September 1, 2011! Celebrate Japan Dolphins Day will be a positive and celebratory gathering of dolphin supporters in dozens of cities around the world. We will raise awareness of the annual dolphin drive hunts in Taiji and elsewhere in Japan, and we will let the Japanese government and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums know that we do not accept these abuses towards our friends in the sea.

I am so glad that there is an embassy near me, so I will ask my parents if we can go join everyone on September 1st!

I would try to go to one I just need to talk to my parents about it.

that sounds really good i shall have a look on the link and see if there is one near me but i live in a very small quite village but i shall still see well theres one in london but that is about 3 years away i shall ask my parents

@qwertyuiop123: Yeah it seemed like the Dolphin Day is all over the world, so I really hope you guys can make it. It makes me feel so good that by starting this club, that used to be a few members, is making a difference and is getting the word out about The Cove and Commercial Whaling and different events to help support it
If any of you are wondering why the Japan Dolphins Day event is on September 1st is because, every year on September 1st is when the Japanese "fishermen" start the dolphin killing season
But voluneteers (like famous racecar driver, Lelani Munter) will travel to the cove in Taiji Japan to film the slaughter to keep the pressure on the Japanese fishermen.

@animalveg: Thats great that you will ask your parents! I thought I saw one in London Hopefully your parents say yes and you can go too~
