The man sat on the top of a skyscraper. He sat in silence. He was motionless, like a statue. His chest heaved as he sighed. His green eyes opened. He leaned forwards, his hands sliding to his knees to keep his balance. The wind ruffled his hair as he looked over the edge of the building. The city below him was loud. People were the size of ants below him, cars winding their way through the hustle and bustle of the city. Tamesis looked down with sadness. How many of them were infected? How many of them had what he had? A companion?
At the thought of her, he stood up.
"Ziva?" he called. His voice carried on the wind unneccessarily.
He heard a chuckle in his mind, and a smile crept onto his face.
I am here, young one.
The small bird of prey, the Red Kite, gave a cry from above him. Tamesis looked up, and nodded at her. "Where is everyone?" Tamesis whispered, looking down at the city. "We should have found each other by now. I can't be the only one, I can't." The last sentance was a whisper, as if he was trying to convince himself that he was right.
He felt something pull him back from the edge. Ziva had pulled him backwards by wrapping her tail around his waist. She pulled him close to her warm chest.
We will find them.
Tamesis nodded, and ran a hand down Ziva's upper arm. It still amazed him that she could even exist. The rough scales on his skin sent shivers down his spine. He pulled away from her, and looked into her green eyes. He blinked as her head snapped upwards. She gave a deafening roar, which made him clutch onto his ears and step away. With a buffet of her wings, she had risen into the sky. She swooped down, and grabbed onto his waist before helping him into her back. "Ziva?" Tamesis cried as her talons dug into his thick clothing. She did not reply, but pushed her wings downwards, sending her shooting forwards.
Tamesis stared in confusion at the back of Ziva's head, but upon following her gaze, spotted something in the sky. Something that shouldn't be there. Something that wasn't normal, something like...Ziva.
Ziva gave another roar as she came closer to the other dragon. Tamesis could make out a young woman on the back of the white dragon. A wide smile stretched across his face.
{{I suck for leaving this behind. I'm on holiday at the moment, but I'll reply when I can.}}
