[[Just because I'm loosing]]
The forest rushed by, blurred beauty being ignored in the pup's obvious hurry. Screams of ignorance could be heard from not too far behind, the pup wished they'd fade away. Ever since he was born, with his stupid black and blue fur, people judged him. Just because the judge him doesn't mean they're judges. They shouldn't be able to control his life. But they did.
" Kill it!" They yelled, eyes rolled back so they couldn't see what they were doing. If they could just tilt their eyes forward some...but it was too much to ask of them.
Stones and twigs sided with the pursuers, tripping the pup they called " 02". His name was not so, but the number on his shoulder told such foolish people otherwise. They didn't care enough to ask. No one ever loved the pup, not even his parents. They sent him away, shunned into the outlands of the inlands. They didn't give him the time of day, but it wasn't expected. Marked pups were cursed, or so they thought.

The trees were endless. No light shone at the end of the non-existent tunnel. It seemed to be be infinite, as if the trees were being cloned to mock him. Shouts were closer now, voices louder, threats full of more hate. The hate flew ahead of the mouths it came from, getting caught in the trees, choking the pup. Beads of hot sweat ran through his fur, being blown back by the gale of running. He was a little fish in a big pond at the moment, with vicious, snapping jaws arising from murky darkness behind him.
It was soon to be over when his foot became entangled in a root, and his body thudded to the ground. He lay in hopeless misery for a moment, before picking his mass back up. He started into a run again, until a small voice entered his ears.
" Come, come here. Please, I don't want to see another. "

The pup was reluctant to follow the voice, thinking it was trickery from one full of hate. But the voices behind him swelled, so he followed the cooing into a small swampy area.Trees draped over, cutting out the light of the moon, but preserving the flashes of the lightning bugs. A creek swept by, little fish swimming in it daintily. The pup continued to follow the female voice through the area, finally catching sight of two flickering eyes in front of him.

She stepped into a stream of light that managed through the leaves of overhanging plants and trees, showing a rather normal coat. Why was such a...regular being out here? she had both a menacing and calm look put upon her face.
"My name is Kryya." She looked over at the blue and black male, who's eyes were wide with interest and fear. " And yours?"
The male was determined to speak without fear like he had done for ages, hiding his true emotion behind a fake mask. His voice had always been grim, emotionless, cool. And it would stay the same.
" I've been called many things. 02, K2, That Thing, and more. But my true name is Forty. "
Her eyes narrowed, face developing a frown, deep in thought. Suddenly, she brightened. Her face seemed to explode with joy, and she had a hard time containing it. Her voice was quick and shrill as she chirped out.
" I suppose you wonder why I'm here? "
[[Just because I'm hurting]]
His eyes closed some, concentrated blue in the center shining loudly.
" Maybe. So why are you?"
She opened her mouth to speak, just about to form her first word, when a noise erupted from nearby. Her eyes fell and his shot with worry as the villagers stumbled in, grabbing hold of them both in such a frenzy it couldn't be stopped.
" Finally, " muttered one " we found you."
Another looked at Kryya, eyes suddenly flying open with direct shock.
" What is this? The other child of this thing's parents. I thought she was dead. "
Murmurs started to spread as Forty's head shot up. Sister? He thought she was dead aswell, the twin of him. Why she ran, he couldn't fathom.
" It was never confirmed "
" Didn't they find her body? "
" No, it was a setup. "
They each answered each other's questions, finally coming up with the answer that she had run away.

" So, in other words, they're both to die. "
They were so cruel. Deciding the two pup's fates in an instant. Life could be snatched away so easily. Each person nodded their own head, and the people holding the pups both pulled out some sort of muzzle.
He had to ask, now.
They flipped on the switch. A smell started to fill the large muzzle, it was scented with death.
Forty became lightheaded.
It was now.
" Kryya," He sputtered, loosing energy as the gas stole his life away. " why...did you run?"
She smiled weakly inside her muzzle, even though he couldn't see it, loosing her life more quickly.
"Because," She coughed, gasping for the breath she couldn't find. The villagers laughed at them both with cold eyes. " they..aren't the controllers of my life. Or yours. They were coming for me next, they consider me as tainted as you. " Her eyes started to roll, her face became pale. " But I suppose..in the end, they've taken away what life I had. Oh well." She swept out of her body, rising as she spoke her last words. "I'll see you..soon."
He followed shortly after, as the villagers threw their masks down, such tainted objects now. They receded back into the woods of death, where countless murders like such had occurred.
Such fools.
They hadn't a clue.
