Modern Magic (No more new members)

Myst smiled. "You'll get used to us pretty quickly. Though, you might want to run if my dad decides to try and make a hiaku." she chuckled, entering the kitchen. Myst took a sip of her mom's tea. "Heeeeeey." Jan whined. "I gave you a piggy-back, I think I can have some of your tea." Myst laughed. Jan flicked Myst on the forehead. "So, you go and summon your wings for the first time and can't even wait for me to take a picture?" Jan said and stuck her tongue out playfully. "Nope." Myst replied, sticking her tongue out as well.

Shane laughed aloud at their playfulness. Shane was really beginning to like this family. It was certainly a lot better then his biological family. He continued drinking his warm tea, enjoying every drop. The long trip he'd made to get here was finally becoming worthwhile to him. Even some of the things that happened, which weren't so good, were easily outweighed by all the great things that had happened today.

(ah ha ha.... *tired laugh* 12 am and I'm still beating clockwork's schedual to boot! =w=)

After a few minutes there was the sound of the door thudding back into place. Paul walked into the kitchen, poured a cup of coffee and leaned on the counter. His and Myst's eyes meet, a cold, electical feeling filled the air. "Daaad..." "Myyyst..." "You cursed to much." they said to each other in union. Paul patted Myst on the head. Myst grumbled some thing about not being a little kid any more. Jan set down her cup of tea, a very serious look on her face. Paul and Myst backed up a little, turned, and were about to run when-- "GROUP HUG!" Jan yelled and charged, trapping them both in her loving, but dangerous, grasp. She squeezed them both and squeeled. After letting go, Myst moaned. "The death-trap-of-love. It hurts, but heals." Paul said, Myst nodded in agreement as they both sank to the floor.

J got up and smiled. "Great! What time is it going to be held? And do you know when you'll be dancing?" he asked exidedly. Lumina was a nice girl, so friendly, helpful, and carefree. J wished he could be more like that.

"About 9 in the morning, but my competition will only be at 10. I'm in the Hip Hop and Modern dances," Lumina said, informing him with a smile. Truth be told, she admired J's artistic hands and was actually proud to be a subject of his art.

Shane kept a straight face as he saw Paul come into the kitchen. He took a large drink of his tea, finishing it. He sat the mug, previously filled with tea, on the counter behind him. He watched as Jan soon pulled both, Paul and Myst into a large hug, trying to make things better. Shane smiled as he watched, he was really beginning to like this family, it was certainly better then his original one. He would be proud to one day claim them as his family but, today certainly wasn't that day.

Myst and Paul crawled to a counter on either side of the kitchen and pulled themselves up. Jan clapped and smiled, titling her head to the side. If it were manga or anime, you'd see frilly pink flowers floating around her. Myst actually ended up picturing that and groaned. Paul walked over to Shane, summond his wings, then flew up in the air so they were about the same highet. "I'm.... sorry for my behaviour. I just felt it was to soon for a serious relashonship and that really enoyd me, so I took it out on the people around me." Paul said, rubbing his rists. Paul didn't any eye contact until he said, "Are we good?"

J smiled. "Great. I'll be sure to go! I'll work on my drawings of you the most and try to make them look the best, you are being a really great help after all." he said and closed his art pad. He gave himself a running start, then did a front flip. "Ooh! I'm full of energy for some reason!" he said, streaching.

Shane listened intently as Paul spoke to him. He looked up at him as he asked a question. "Oh, yeah. It's not a problem, I understand." Shane said quickly looking at Paul. He was glad Paul wasn't mad any longer, it would have been very awkward living in the house.

Paul sighed with relief. "Oh, good." he said and flew down. Myst smiled. She was glad that her father had appolagised. Jan looked at the butterfly-shped clock above the stove. "Whaaat?! Is it really 10?!" she said, trying to get a closer look incase she wasn't reading it right.

Shane wondered what Jan was so worried about. "Is there something your late for or something?" Shane then asked.

"MYYYYYYYST! I MISSED MY SHOOOOOOW!" Jan whined and tugged on Myst's arm like a little kid. "Now I can't watch The Littlest Hobo!" Jan complained, cringing to Myst's leg. Myst sighed and started to walk occwardly, dragging her mother along. Myst walked like that into the living room and popped a tape out of the VCR. "Here." she said handing it to her mother. Jan looked up and took the tape. "W-what is it?" Jan asked, prettending to be on the brink of tears. "I set the timer. Your show's on that." Myst said and patted her mom on the head. "I LOOOOOOOOOVE YOUUUUUUU!" Jan yelled and got up, backing up and charging at Myst. "Oh no!" Mys said and was about to run, buuut.... Jan rapped Myst in her death-grip-hug. The thudded into the wall and landed on the floor. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Jan squeeled and ran to play her tape. "Some times I can't tell which one of us is the mother..." Myst groaned.
