Birchfur looked around he noticed Turtleleaf wasn't around he knew her kits were do any day, he padded over to Nightpools den "have you seen Turtleleaf today? " Nightpool looked up, "no I haven't, she should be in camp where i can keep an eye on her." Birchfur thought for a moment " well I am going on a border patrol I will look for her while i'm out." Nightpool nodded then went back to counting her herbs, birchfur turned and left camp.

Birchfur could smell Turtleleafs scent but it was stale, he followed it hoping she was all right.
