The Kentury Derby is every year in Kentury is a special event for them. How about 9.11 as an event? That's sotrt of a crisi event for those who lost loved ones. Have like an american flag with the date on it with the twin towers. (You probably never heard of that either, since you don't live in NYC like I do. <:)

Let's just leave it to me to figure what days I like to make specials of? Not that I don't appriciate your ideas but I'd rather stick with traditional ones (that I already know of) and well, my personal favourites^^.

xAmbyroo, 9/11 is absolutly banned as a special event in this shop, as is every disaster. I celebrate happy things, hollidays, or make tiny little personal rememberances, but I don't make specials of things like that. It wouldn't feel right. (I have heard of it by the way, just because I haven't heard about one particular horse race doesn't mean I'm ignorant of everything that happens in other contries^^'.)
Anyway, terrible things and country/area-specific things won't show up as specials. That's final.

AmigoGirl, I would actually prefere if suggestions were posted here, rather than by PM. I always loose my PMs but if the ideas are posted here I'll be able to find them again, if I need to. But usually I'm not really looking for suggestions so...^^.

soy, you'd be surpriced about the amount of american culture and politics we're exposed to by media, but lets just say I don't know all the fine details. Besides most USA-specific traditions doesn't really mean anything to me so I tend to avoid them all-together^^'.

You know I live in the United states to and was alive while that disaster happened. No I do not live in New york city and you do not need to live there to hear about it the whole country knows about it.

Those are very nice suggestions RainbowSmores, feel free to remind me about them when december comes closer^^. I don't know if I'd even have time to make a special lineart for advent, since that's when I have to study the most, but I'd sure like to if I could.
