"Yeah. It is somewhat abnormal that he'd accept a dragon-shifter into his home, when his entire village was destryoed by almost the same creatures. I'm also very glad he's letting me stay with you and your family." Shane said, ending with a bright smile. He started to wonder why her father let him stay but, pushed it from his mind because it wasn't any of his business at the time.

Lumina nodded and began playing. It was a carefree tune, slightly slow, but it held a lot of meaning. Memories filled her head as she played - past memories.

Lluminera stood up, bowing to the crowd. Her piano recital had gone great. "Lumina, you'll go places I tell you," one of her friends told her, smiling.
Everything was so right, so perfect. She was loved by a alot and admired for her carefree and kind attitude.

The song slowly drew to a close and she opened her eyes again.

And now, because I am ever so boring and can't wait to allow a climax in the mystery of why her father did, you are going to find out.

"Paul, I want to ask you some thing." Jan said as she pealed some potatos. Paul was just putting some steak and chicken breast in the oven. "What it is?" Paul asked, closing the oven door. "You always try to avoid dragons, so why did you let a dragon shifter into the house so willingly, especially to live here?" Jan asked, popping the potato into a pot of near-boiling water. Paul sighed. "Well... he makes Myst happy. She hasn't had a friend since she was three, and she's taken on my fear of dragons too. But maybe, if she can get to know him, she'll stop fearing dragons and become more social. Not to mention it might trigger some thing to let her summon her wings. And if she can totally stop fearing dragons, so can I. He seems like a nice boy any how." Paul said and rubbed his rist. "You're nervous hon, and don't deny it, I can see you rubbing your rists." Jan said, putting a lid on the pot so the potatos could boil. Paul just chuckled.

Myst smiled a little. "I bet he's rubbing his rists right now."

J managed to do a very good scetch of her while she was playing. He began to clean up the lines a bit and shade it in.

Lumina got up and walked over to J. "How'd the sketch come out?" she asked, anxious to know of the result.

Shane shrugged lightly, sort of unsure of what to say. He wasn't going to get to far into the subject, it really wasn't any of his business to know why her father had aloud him to stay. Sure, he'd like to know, who wouldn't? Shane just wasn't the kind of person to want to know why some things happen the way they do.

"See for your self!" J said and turned it so she could see it. He had done a classical back ground with a marble floor, a huge window and drapes, and the piano and Lumina in the middle of it. He had shaded it so that it almost looked like her fingers were glowing as they pressed the keys.

Myst giggled. "Well, mom will be done dinner in about a half-hour if I'm guessing right, so why don't go buy you some new clothes?"

"Wow... That's amazing..." Truth be told, Lumina was at a loss for words. Never had someone drew her as accurately as that. "So... You have music done. How about dance next?"

"That would probably be a good idea." Shane said, with a smile, as he looked down at his rather dirty and somewhat tattered shirt and jeans. He hoped the clothing stores here had good clothes and if they were the kind of clothing he liked, he'd be a lot happier about getting new clothes.

"Sure. Mr. Dier has been exibiting balle, hip hop, and ballroom lately, can you do any of those?" J signed the bottem corner of the drawing lightly.

"Alrighty, the closest one to here is T's and Total, so why don't we go there." Myst said and got up. She streached for a second the smiled at Shane.

"Sounds great!" Shane said somewhat excitedly. He waited for her to lead the way, considering he hardly knew his way around this town. When he saw her smile to him, he smiled back happily.
