Flareshade nodded "It came from this way" he mewed before running towards the sound

MossStar ran after him, keeping her ears pricked all the way. "Where are we going?" she asked hesitantly.

Flareshade was about to speak but he stopped when he saw a little black kit, a tom

He mewed again, not being able to see but he could smell, he scented cats

MossStars jaw dropped. She had never seen an abandoned kit. It looked so lonely, so vulnerable. Slowly, she walked over to the kit, breathing in it's scent.

The kit mewed again

Flareshade just sat there, looking at the kit

"Where do you think it came from?" MossStar asked, slowly nudging the kit.

Flareshade shrugged "I don't know" he mewed

The kit stopped mewing and purred

"Maybe we should take it back" Flareshade added

MossStar nodded. "Do you... Want to... Pick it up?" she added.

Flareshade sighed and picked the kit up by the scruff, his face turned into horror "What has this kit been rolling in...crow-food?" his muffled voice said
