Stepping out of the water, the mare's coat was grimy; slimy. Pieces of seaweed were entwined in her mane and tail, a large piece draped over her back. Nose low to the ground, her sides rose rapidly as she gasped for breath. Mermaid had escaped from the rear of the shipwreck, and so, had been forced to swim for a bit. Not that she'd enjoyed it. Finally letting her head rise, the brown eyes scanned the beach. Another horse's body caught her eye. Interesting. Another survivor. Forcing her tired limbs to move, she tiredly walked toward them. "Hello? Do you know where we are?"

Mermaid gave a quick nod. "You're good with your Geography." Her head jerked up as another equine shape could be seen a little way off. "Another survivor, I see." Snorting softly, she reared up halfway, shaking her head a little. "Hey!" she whinnied. "Over here! Are you a survivor?" Coming back down to all fours, the palomino looked at the seemingly native horse. "Do you live here?" she questioned, a slight edge of nervousness coming into her tone. What if he was a cannibal? What if he tried to hurt her. A hind hoof stomped the sand with the barely contained tension raging inside of her.
