I used to have a merged account, but she doesn't like the site and so I I got back to a normal account. Let me give my advice:

Sharing an account is hard, and I wouldn't recommend it. For one, you have to share signature space. Kiwi and I had a very simple signature: just stating some facts about ourselves, like I like horses and she likes swimming, and the fact that it was a shared account, and to please address PMs accordingly. I happened to get a deviantART during that time, and if you have a dA you know that they make stamps - well, I made one, but didn't have anywhere to put it because of our combined signatures. That's a down-factor of merging accounts; you can't express yourself as freely. Your "interests" must also be limited, or say something like user1's interests: drawing and reading, user2's interests: reading and writing. You can't say as much. I know my paragraph is getting long now, but I still have stuff to say ... I'm interested in your well-being and making sure you know what you're doing when you merge. Okay. More. PMs are Private Messages, are they not? What if someone forgets to address the subject to user1 or user2? Then will both users read? I mean, you shouldn't talk about the other user behind their back, so there's really nothing to worry about, but what if it's like "here's your finished art!" and you reply back "I didn't order from you" and delete the PM? Then the other user is waiting forever for art that will never come again. I'm not saying this will happen, it didn't happen to Kiwi and I, but it might. You never know. Avatars. What if user1 wants a dinosaur picture and user2 wants a tiger picture? Well, you could go to a free website that you can do a split picture or a collage of only two, or maybe draw yourselves a picture of a dinosaur and a tiger ... or just one of you is the "boss" of the account and demands dinosaurs. But this last one isn't fair. The first two are ways to avoid an argument. ^^
I'm not saying you shouldn't get a merged account, but I am saying I wouldn't recommend it. I'm not going to force you to // not to merge, do what you want to do ... but don't say I didn't warn you. :3

Well depends on how you look at it. There are no real CS benefits, unless you aren't going to be on much and your partner is going to be able to do the things you want done. It depends on the partnership c:

well, one of my friends who used to be merged merged with someone who only wanted to merge with them because they had a very succesfull artshop, and they could get pets from it

There are many benefits, especially if you are in different timezones during events. That means you could practically grab tokens around the clock, and if you aren't biased about keeping your pets there and their pets here then you would most likely have a lot of spares, possibly even spare Julys and Augusts to trade for pets you want/need.

That thing about PMs is kind of silly in my opinion, if my friends ranted about the other person on my account I would man up and tell them to suck it. No one likes that kind of behavior anyway, and if your partner deletes with "I didn't order from you" then your communication is not good enough. If you talk on a daily basis, why not start with a simple "Today we got this and that trade, and I ordered art from this person. I also adopted all the new pets this month" or something similar to this. Doesn't hurt to not leave everything to magically work itself out.

A partnership like this doesn't really require anything except being able to overlook each other's mistakes and actually informing each other about what you have done if It's a major thing.

Yes, this is an old question, but I came up with a few this morning. At first, I didn't see any either, but as far as I can tell, these are the advantages:

-With two accounts in one, you have double the trade fodder, so by working together, you can get old and rare pets that you wouldn't be able to otherwise.

-Two eyes are better than one. Theoretically, you also get double the trade tokens and a trade thread that stays on the first page if you coordinate a rotating a watch/sleep schedule.
Add: This is also useful if one person is on more than the other. A person that gets on rarely now has a greater chance to get trades and such because the partner is online for them.

-If you are particularly lazy, you'd have someone else to organize your pets for you. (Sometimes I wish I had this XD)

These all come at the cost of sharing though.

Is it possible for more than 2 people to share an account?Even if it was,it wouldn't seem like a food idea to me.

Also,if you are going to merge accounts you have to keep in mind when you to adopt pets you still get the same amounts as everyone else.
