Damon stepped out of the coffee place, the air turning warm. "Was it ok?" he asked, watching the scene with the bird. He hated to see animals injured or hurt in any way.

"Oh, yes, it was fine. It just wanted to follow his family, but he doesn't know how to fly like the others." She looked up at the nest, wincing when thinking about him not getting the things he needs. Her eyes looked around everywhere, glad to be outside again.

"Oh that is good." he said, sighing then grabbing her hand. "Well let's get to the aquarime then." he said, wanting to see the aquatic animals now.

With a grin, she held his hand, and they started to walk. She was about to unleash fifty questions, bashing him with whatever came to mind. "What are you most excited about? I know, the sharks, but I mean like..really."

Damon shrugged and said,"Seeing all the animals would be great. You can see their world for about an hour." He smiled and added,"What would yours be?"

Dumbstruck by a question back - for no apparent reason, Anessa had to think about the question hard. "Well, just the fact that you know they're safe. More than they would be out in the wild, even on preserves. Poachers are just.." She let out a small hiss-like sigh, brow in a frustrated position.

"They may be safe, but they aren't happy. They would rather be free out in the wild. You know, to live so free and fend for themselves." he said thoughtfully.

"That's true, except for the completely domesticated ones. They normally don't know what it's like outside of their tank or exhibit, and don't know what to expect," she said. With a pause, she closed her eyes. "That's what makes me upset."

Damon nodded and said,"Yea...I hope they will be ok in their cramped homes."

Anessa nodded slowly. She examined her free hand, turning it over and over. Quickly, she glanced at Damon from a reflex where she heard a sound, but turned her head back to her hand immediately. Sighing, she looked up at the sky, watching the clouds.
