Hale raised an eyebrow before slightly turning on his heels. "Okay, Ivy, welcome to St. Federicks; a total hell hole," he said in an easy tone, glancing across the courtyard to find it vacant. H ehtne indicated to the main building beside them. "That is where pretty much all of your classes will be and, believe me, watching paint dry is funner than listening to Mr. Jones drone on and on about history," he said in a casual tone, glancing at Ivy as he spoke, before looking back across the courtyard and beginning to walk across it towards the dorms, glancing at Ivy to see if she was following.

Ivy smiled slightly, following behind him, "Sure looks like a hell hole," she muttered. Of course her stepdad would send her here. "History is probably the most easiest subject there is," she said. "Unless you don't pay attention."

Hale laughed quietly as he glanced back at Ivy. "Who would?" he said with a small smirk before he then glanced at the dorm building that didn't look any better than the main building; its roof was slooped and the brick work was shoddy and crooked and most of the windows were smashed. "Welcome to your new home. These are the dorms," he said with a casual smile and gesture of his hand. "Although, the real hell here is the food. The cafeteria is in the main building, of course," he added.

Ivy studied the dorm building. "I swear he wants to kill me," she muttered under her breath. Then louder she said, "It looks like it'll crumble any second," she said, keeping her blue eyes on the building. She turned her eyes on his and sighed, "Guess I'll have to aquire a taste for the cooking here then."

"I suppose thats one way to look at it," Hale said lightly as he glanced back at the dorm. Suddenly he remembered something and reached into his pocket and yanked out a scrap piece of paper with a number on it. "Oh, and this is your dorm room number," he said holding it out for her. "One of the wardens'll be along later to fill you in on everything else."

Ivy took the slip of paper from him and looked at it. "Thanks. Hale, right," she asked, looking back up at him.

Hale smiled and held up his thumb. "Right," he said lightly. He then glanced at the dorms before looking back at Ivy. "Want me to show you to your room?" he asked, raising his eyebrows slightly.

Ivy looked at him. "That sounds good. I'm pretty sure I'll get lost..." she said, turning her eyes back on where her new room and home would be.
