"Only Bearclaw... Do you wanna go back to camp and ask your mother if you can spend the night up in the tree with me?" Tangletail stretched her long front legs on the grass, pulling out a few shreds.

"Okay. But why did you tell me why not yewstar or someone?" Thornkit mewed sleepily

"I just thought you would need to know incase I mumbled something when you were around me, and you asked me what I was talking about..." Tangletail licked Thornkit on the head to try to keep him awake. "Come on sleepy head, let's get back to camp." Then she picked him up by the scruff and let him sleep on her back.

Then she walked back to camp silently, "Thornkit, we're back at camp!"

Thornkit slept and dreamed of catching lots of mice He woke at the sound of her voice "Can i ask mama?"

"Yes, and don't make up a different story Thornkit!" Tangletail sat Thornkit down on the ground and watched him hobble for a second as if he was too tired to walk.

Thornkit got to the nursery where his siblings slept "May i sleep with Tangletail in the tree tonight?"

"If you wish darling" icegaze mewed

Thornkit raced to Tangletail ~Mama said yes" (GTG)

Tangletail grabbed Thornkit by the scruff and jumped into the tree, she layed down first, then put him in front of her, "Goodnight Thornkit..." But he was already fast asleep.
