I guess I should start this from the beginning.
I met Z over texts because of a friend(B). She said she liked him, and apparently he had just broken up with his girlfriend and all and she'd been texting him and asked him out(over a text). After about a day and a half with no reply she asked me if I could text him so I did. What surprised me is that he actually replied to my "please text B back" and his reply was nice and literate. I have this signature on my phone that's the marching band theme, and apparently he understood it and told me that he was a marcher as well. There hasn't been a day since then that we haven't texted each other. I'd never really seen or talked to him in the previous year of marching, but I had heard of his name. He doesn't cuss, he's smart, he's sweet, and he doesn't care if I open myself up to him. Now, some of the following may sound a bit cliche but it's just the way it is

I feel like I can talk to him about anything(except himself of course), and he says it's really easy to open up to me too. We have our conversations where I'll ramble about something(which he says is cute) and then we'll tease each other a bit, and then at night we have our serious conversations. We both spill to each other about loneliness or how we can't sleep. He'll tell me how he doesn't fit in, and how quiet he is. But yesterday I actually spent time with him in person, and I told him that he wasn't very quiet at all. I think that was the first time I got my hopes up about him liking me back. He told me that the past three months(almost exactly when we "met") something has been making him happy and he didn't know what. Everytime I see his name on a text my face lights up and when I read it I always get a big grin. I like it when I'm around him, it just is a bit awkward after texting him for so long to actually see him. And, considering I only see him at marching band and I'm in the pit while he marches sax makes it kinda hard to be around him. Now my next little mini-story... I play the vibe, a metallic instrument similar to the marimba and xylophone, and we have covers to protect them when we go outside. My cover got destroyed a few years before I joined the marching band, so I just use a quilt to lay over it. However, since it's a quilt it doesn't fit the instrument too well and the wind blows it off every now and then. So after complaining and teasing him gently about it he offered to let me use his sax to put on the instrument so the cover doesn't blow off. So yesterday we tried it(and it was successful) and we walked together around the school to get it back inside. I started off pushing it, but he insisted that he push it for me. I dunno, do you think he likes me? >.<
