I always found it funny that the parents of the trainers let their kids leave their house & go off on their own at 10. It's hilarious! My mom wouldn't let me leave the house until I was thirty, if she had a choice XD
if I were a trainer, I would be thrilled!

Ha! I wouldn't leave my family at 10. I would if I had friends with me. I would just feel all alone and after the first week I would run home.

I don't think that Ash is quite 15 maybe 13 or 14 but not 15.

Pokemon was officially debuted as an anime series in 1996, and Ash was 10 then. It is now about 15 years later. According to normal logic, he SHOULD be in his mid-20's.

BUT if we look at it in Pokemon-time, he should be about 15, yes.

Well this is a kid friendly show. They replaced the creepy people that you speak of with Team Rocket,Galactic,and Plasma. All with equally insane leaders.

As of Best Wishes Episode 1 he is STILL technically ten. I think the creator of the anime said so...
They can't really age him though, because if the audience of the show is younger male kids and they want them to be able to relate to them.
However, I pretend he's thirteen.
