You look on into the camp... You see the leader's den behind the tall Highrock. Then the Warrior den... And beyond that, the Apprentice den, then the Medicine cats' den. At the end is the nursery. Behind all this is a high rockface.

A cat bursts out in front of you.

"State your name, rank and intentions! Here in Venomclan, strangers and NOT tolerated!!!" The summer light shines on her light tabby fur. "Sorry," She purrs "I am Violetstar, leader of the all-new Clan Venomclan." ... "What is this??? You want to join? Ok, just fill in this form. I'll do my own, too."

Leafpelt, the old Leafclan leader, padded into the nursery. Whitepaw was gone, but her new kits were here.



"I'll call this one Minnowkit," she thought "And this one... Riverkit."

Venomstar walked up to inspect the new arrivals. Even though there were already a medicine cat & 2 apprentices, he knew that in times of sickness, being on the move wouldn't help, so they needed all the help they could get.

"Welcome to Venomclan." he meowed to them.

Minnowkit role out of the nursery are decided to try and eat her leader's tail. Venomstar stood up, gently batted her away and swung his tail from reach.

Venomstar called out to the clan "We need to be moving again. The horror of the dog pack has passed, but we need to get as far away as posible."

Venomstar sat in a patch of sunshine and thought. A harsh storm had howled all night and the cats hadn't been able to hunt.

Rainears panted she split off from the clan, for the same reason she'd turned down Deputyship. behind her Poppykit and Swirlkit lagged behind mewling desperately. Catching up was difficult enough without two newborn kits. Poppykit collapsed, Rainears swiftly turned around and scooped her up by the scruff. Swirlkit continued mew, Rainears let out a muffled sigh and just managed to scoop up Swirlkit. The huge storm had slowed them down, and had killed off her weakest kit, Lilykit. Swirlkit had been born by a swirling river in the past storm. Lilykit and Poppykit had been born minutes later and were named after the plants the were born by.

Leafpelt curled into a ball and started yowling. Her throat hurt like it wqas on fire.

"Venomstar!!!" caoled Sapphire "Leafpelt's got whitecough!"
