Just remember, wikipedia is written by regular people and then checked later on for accuracy once they get around to it by other regular people.
Actually, at one time Giant Pandas were lumped into a similar Raccoon type category with Red Pandas.
But recent research says they are in fact more closely related to bears while Red Pandas are more closely related to Raccoons.
As far as why the pup on the blanket isn't smiling? Maybe because Polar and Giant Panda Bears are both critically endangered as well as many other Bear species being nearly or more so and a lot of them also being exploited and abused by people all over the world.
*steps off soapbox*
Anyway, can't wait to see what they turn into as they grow. We already have PPS and GUPPS for Pandas and Red Pandas so we shall see.
^-^

Not just closely related to bears - they are bears. Wikipedia is good for linking to for quick info. I couldn't very well link to my mammalogy book!
