Way back in the day we were hosted at http://1and1.com/ , but their plans look pretty confusing at the moment. I'm not sure if they're still suitable. There are free hosts which support PHP out there. You can also make a virtual pet website at http://www.myadopts.com/

It's been so long that I don't really remember any more . I think I started building a website which used PHP to generate the menus and keep the page style the same on each page, and went from there. There are some tutorials at the website http://w3schools.com/ , but I haven't tried those out.

Just thought I'd mention that Tizag is a great tutorial website too. ^^

Okay, well I'm having a bit of a problem here. I've been trying out some php codes using my old adoptables website, and the first thing I wanted to try was this adopts system because I haven't done any coding in over a year and I wanted to refresh my memory.
Well, it's working perfectly fine (the files are in a directory called "basic_php_adopts"), but I want to upgrade it by adding a database and pet groups, so I made a new directory (adopts_test) and uploaded the files there - the exact same files - so that I could go back to the original files if I messed something up.
For some reason though, it's not working in the new directory. I've actually tried several different directories, and every time it comes up with broken images - that's basically just it, no errors or anything. All the files have been uploaded, and all the image and file urls are right. It's still working in the first directory (basic_php_adopts) but not in the second (adopts_test), even though they both have the same files. How is that possible?

    -edit-
I even just tried making a completely new site and uploading the files there, and it's doing the same thing. There’s nothing else on the new site... am I just unlucky, or...?
