Odell clung onto Rue's arm as he tried to convince her to take him out on a hunting practice, but Rue shoved him off. "You know that I'm not supposed to. I'm not old enough. I haven't done enough for me to be able to train others." she spoke, and Odell made a frown as he stared at the grass. "Stupid year-restrictions." he grumbled, and Rue laughed and looked up around the camp. Others were beginning to stir, and walked about the camp, a few girls or boys Rue's age would be running together off into the territory to either hunt or patrol, others were just slowly waking up with a few friends, chatting on a log or such. Rue's eyes suddenly noticed a boy sitting down in front of a tree, focusing on something in his hands. The curly hair was recognizable for Rue, and she waved a little at the boy. It was Jack, one of Rue's friends. Of course, everyone in the Tribe considered others as friends, but he had been more of a friend than most. His sisters often were seen around the camp, either playing games with him, teasing him, or bothering him. Almost all siblings had the same kind of bond in their Tribe, of endearment through teasing or bugging.

Jack at first didn't notice Rue, but after a few moments of carving, almost feeling like he was being watched, he looked up, his curls springing around as he did so. He had noticed Rue, and was a little surprised to see her waving, so unfortuneately had sliced his finger. He didn't mind so much, so grinned up at the girl, "Morning Rue," he said, smiling, "Odell bugging you about your mask again?" he joked, his familiar grin now appearing once again. He knew Rue and her brother all too well, and quite frequently this was the family of choice he lumbered his step-sisters with. Despite this, he was good friends with Rue, and his sisters were tolerant, if a little mean, to Odell.

Rue opened her mouth to reply, but was beaten to it by Odell, who was already up on his feet pacing back and forth, complaining in a whiny voice. The young boy's tail bobbed up and down with every step as he moved back and forth, his ears downcast as he whimpered and whined about his "bad luck." Rue could only just stare and watch in amusement as her brother vented his thoughts to her friend. "It's not fair Jack! I know that Rue is telling me that I have to earn a Mask, even though I already have it, but she's mainly saying that I have to earn the markings, but it isn't fair because if you don't have an awesome Mask now, how will you build up your reputation? I want a Mask as awesome as everyone elses' Mask, but better! How long did it take you to get yours to what it is today?" he ended, plopping down in front of the tall Fox Tribe boy, staring up at him. Rue stared at her brother with a 'you're a pretty deranged kid all right' look on. Turning to Jack, she smiled. "To sum it up shortly, yes. He is."

I made a charrie, then started over because I didn't like her. xD

Quick question. Do we describe their animal form? I'm making a wolf, and I know coat colors vary.

(Yes, that'd be perfectly fine. :3
I didn't really ask for that since ravens, hawks and foxes look pretty much the same (not to each other. xD)
But wolves are different. Of course you can do that.)

Jack burst into helpless laughter at this moaning and whining, he was just grinning his face off. Mainly because he had been like this when he was Odell's age, always asking when his mask would look 'cool' or why no-one would make his mask better. He smiled at the little boy, "Rue's right though," he said, still smiling gently, "You've got to earn all the 'awesome stuff' on your mask," he explained, his small smile now breaking into a grin as he pulled his mask out of the top pocket on his coat. He pointed out some of the gems on it and said quietly, mainly to Odell "You either have to earn them, or stick them on." Jack himself had 'decorated' his mask with a few carvings and jewels because he was so impatient to earn the now beautifully ornate markings on his mask. He winked to Odell after tipping him of about that, then smiled back at Rue. "You caught me in the middle of some carving, " he said, holding up his now bleeding finger. He didn't mind so much, it wasn't the first time it had happened, but he felt he should fake the need for sympathy, just for a laugh.

Odell stared at Jack with wonder as he told him how he stuck things on. "Woooaah... I didn't know that was aloud!" he said excitedly, and Rue flicked a pebble at him and it caught him squarely on the neck. "Ow! What was that for?" he asked, and Rue eyed him suspiciously. "Mom and Dad are going to have a fit if you come home and have covered your whole mask with shiny rocks." she warned, and Odell, once again as a favorite thing to do, stuck his tongue out at his sister. "I wouldn't do something as stupid as that. A pebble mask? Heck, that'd weigh a ton." Rue glanced over to Jack who was smiling once again. "You caught me in the middle of some carving." he spoke, holding up a bloodied finger, and Rue's face twisted into a somewhat confusing expression. Often, Rue's expressions were hard to read, and she could confuse one hugely. It was concern... but amusement and mock sympathy was hidden underneath the lines if you looked hard enough. "Jack, you should go patch that up. I thought you weren't clumsy....?" she said with a slight smile. "Sorry bout that. But really, maybe you should go over to the medicine stock and just patch a few herbs onto there." she said, and Odell flashed up. "Or else, if you don't, your thumb will go purple and drop off!" he chirruped, and Rue punched him in the shoulder. "Your head will turn purple and fall off if you keep up that attitude." he made a face. "Is that a threat?" he taunted as he rubbed his shoulder sorely. Rue turned back to Jack and wondered how on earth he was able to put up with three siblings that were almost exactly like Odell.

"I thought you weren't clumsy...?" Rue had said, which made Jack grin. "Me, clumsy? Noooo..." he started to laugh again. Then he yelled "Oh Owww!" as dramatically as he could. He turned round, clutching his finger, dropping some purple dye from one of his other pockets onto it. Then he looked back at Odell, "You cursed me!" he said, holding up his now purple finger. He started pretending to panic, "I think it's goingto fall off, Oh Rue... help me!" he said, holding up his finger and squirming around ridiculously as if he was in some horrific pain. His facial expressions were rather repulsive, but also highly amusing as he wriggled around, pretending to die. Then he cast a glance at Rue, "Medicine Stock? Are you mad... then my finger definitely will fall off," he said, now becoming a little more serious, it was a well known fact he wasn't a fan of the people who worked there. Namely Zylo, a boy just a bit older, but a lot beefier and more musuclar than Jack. He detested the foul-mannered ugly pig-face who bullied Jack at every opportunity, making fun of him for everything and anything. He didn't see how the majority of the vilage found him handsome and charming, and why girls swooned over him and his mask. Personally, Jack hated him, and he knew that Zylo found the feeling mutual. That was why there was no way Jack would go to the medicine stock in a hurry.

Odell just grinned as Jack started to dramatically fake the pain of his finger. "You cursed me!" he yelled, and Odell giggled maniacally. "I think it's going to gall of, Oh Rue... help me!" he cried out, and Odell piped up. "If it falls off, can I keep it as a souvenir?" he asked, and Rue giggled at a thought. "If he says yes, then you can put it on your mask." Jack stopped faking the pain and raised a question to Rue. "Medicine stock? Are you mad? Then it will fall off!" he spoke. Rue knew why, but did not raise the subject. "Would you rather I went and asked for herbs and you wait here, or just let it heal by itself?" she asked. There was a noise as a figure exited out of one of the lean-tos, waving their hands in the air. "Not one of my children is going to have a finger on their mask while I'm around." Rue waved happily to the red-headed woman. "Hi mom. Odell cursed Jack's finger." she said, and Rose raised an eyebrow at Jack's now-purple finger. "I am not even going to ask." she said, staring at Odell who smiled sheepishly.

"Aaw, Rose, I think it would be 'unique' to have a finger on his mask," He said now smiling again at Rue's mother, whom he also knew very well. He sighed though, and looked at Odell, "You can't have my finger mate, I think I'd want to keep it in a jar if it fell off," he joked, his eyes twinkling at the thought, because he was a gross little boy inside when it came down to it. He then smiled politely up at Rose, who seemed to be giving the 'Mother Look' to all of them. He took a peice of cloth out of a different pocket and wiped the blood and dye off his finger, thankfully it hadn't stained his skin. The cut wasn't all to deep, and Jack would much rather take his chances letting it heal than using any herb that Zylo had been near. "Anyway, I was meant to be carving," said Jack, feeling slightly ashamed of his 'immature' behaviour now that Rose was there.
