Rank Explanations

☯ The lead stallion is the conductor from the whole orchestra. He is the ultimate leader and his will is law. You have to do what he says, and some stallions are using that the wrong way.
☯ The lead mare is the lead stallion's mate. She will take over the herd when the lead stallion is away, and she has much to say also.
☯ The beta stallion is the warrior's leader. He commands the warriors, consults with the lead stallion about formations and things like that.
☯ The beta mare is the beta stallion's mate. She doesn't take care of the warriors, that's her husband's job. She takes care of the nursery, the pregnant mares and the {orphan} foals.
☯ The warriors are the horses who protect the herd.
☯ The mares are all the mares which are 'from' the lead stallion.
☯ The pregnant mares are the mares which are in foal.
☯ The foals are the horses under the age of 2. When they are two they become warriors {if stallion} or mares {if mare}.

Personality: A very easy-going stallion, Ryrin has the potential to stand up for himself when he needs too, but is in general willing to be friendly. He's terrified of small creatures like squirrels - but it's not really his fault. Ryrin enjoys running, but what horse doesn't? He's not a fan of apples, and it's often a hopeless flirt.
History: Ryrin was well loved by his mother, but eventually his band stallion kicked little Ryrin out when he came of age. The young mule joined a small band of bachelors, unsuccessful in any of his attempts to capture a mare. He'd heard of a new herd and came to this portion of the land, ready to settle down in some sort of home.

Age: 5
Gender: Mare
Personality: A rather secretive soul, Syvn likes to keep to herself. It's not that she likes playing hard to get, but her mother kept her away from other horses and she's grown up being a solitary mare. She doesn't mind help, but she knows that she's fully capable of handling things on her own.
History: As stated, Syvn was kept apart from other horses as a foal. She was never allowed to play with the other horses for fear of injury. Eventually her mother was slain by a hungry wolf pack in the middle of winter, leaving the two year old filly to go on her own.

Aurora Borealis

The mare pricked her ears after noticing a wolf howl. It was dark in the forest, and the predators were hunting right now. She knew it wasn't safe, but what should she do? She was lost, in the infinite paths along trees which were less and less visible, since the darkness sunk onto the forest. She stood still for a while. Looking around, her ears straightly forward. No signs or movements. She let her head hang down again and moved on in her slow pace. It was hot, and the flies were still active. She swished her tail to remove some irritating ones on her hindquarters, when she heared a crack behind her. Her strong muscles immediately tightened, and she turned around crimly. Nothing.

It was getting real dark when she finally reached the edge of the forest. A meadow, with in the middle a small pond, reached her eyes. She trotted towards it, her tail high and drunk like she hadn't had any water for days.


Nightwish

Nightwish quietly followed Aurora. She drunk some from the pool also, but still looked around to see if there was any danger.


Sombrero Volador

Sombrero took off, leaving a big cloud of dust behind him. He knew it had seen him. And he knew it was going to follow him. Racing along, he looked back. The big cougar was close. It used his nails to grab his hindleg, and the stallion tripped and fell over. He jumped on four legs, bucked and ran away again, still bucking, but the cougar holded onto his skin on his back and didn't fell off. He felt the blood flowing over his hips and backlegs, but he couldn't stop now. It would be the end. And Winter's.


Winter Solstice

Winter raced after Sombrero, trying to hit the cougar with her hooves.
