((I have failure WB...))

Cam rolled his eyes, "Whatever." he muttered. He watched her carefully, clear blue eyes narrowed. "In case we've forgotten." he snorted, rolling his eyes. "Like we could forget what you Catchers are trained for." he snarled, eyes flashing in the darkness.

Sam looked up at her brother, then turned her gaze back to Dove, her blue-gray eyes narrowing at her as well. "We will never, ever, forget what you are trained for." she hissed, her tone cold.

Asphyxia
~I think you need a shotgun blast, a kick in the a**
So paranoid, watch your back~

“You see, your wandering is quite very so my affair. Why? Well, because I own this little piece of forest. It is the only reason you have not been attacked yet. I keep all Shadows away from this spot, those who do come here do not go unscathed.”
"Oh well then, my mistake. I was under the impression the forest belonged to no one." Asphyxia said with a smile and a raised eyebrow. Since when could Shadows own land? Sphyx, you idiot. He lives here, that's what he meant by owning this piece of the forest. Like a territory. Asphyxia angrilly thought, still keeping the smile plastered on her face. The forced smile slowly faded, leaving a child-like curiousity in its place. "But I got this far, didn't I?" Asphyxia asked. She was actually quite suprised, she hadn't seen a trace of even a single Shadow on her late-night trek through the forest.
"If you intend to lurk around here, then you best do it so quietly. Or else I'll have to confinscate that pretty little ruby of yours..."
Asphyxia rubbed the triangle-shaped black stone on her hand. A black stone that was obviously not a ruby. No, Asphyxia's ruby was on a chain around her neck, hidden behind her shirt. "I may lurk where I want, but I mean no trouble this time." Asphyxia shrugged, sitting down cross-legged on a nearby rock. No trouble, at least not this time. "Besides, how do you even know I have a ruby on me, much less where it is?" She continued. If this Shadow tried to take her ruby, all he would end up with was a bullet through his head.

I'm still laughing like hell~

Dove
~There's blood on my hands like the blood in you~

"Just making sure. Because I could always demonstrate." Dove smirked, turning her spork over in her hand. And unconvientional weapon yes, but it was what Dove was used to and had trained with.

~Some things can't be treated so, don't make me, don't make me be myself around you~

(Meh...sorry for epic fail of Dove >.<"

((Sound of Madness! xDD lol..))

Sam and Cam both glared at the Catcher as the siblings stood side-by-side. They looked between each other, "Demonstrate for us then." the eldest of the two siblings said with a cold tone.

((Derp. Your WB is giving me WB D:))

Dove
~There's blood on my hands like the blood in you~

Dove tossed her hair over her shoulder, stepping closer to the two Shadows. There's two of them, both taller than me...I'm Recon, I can't fight both at once... Dove paused, thinking. She looked down to the butterfly shaped ring on her finger. Is it worth it? Dove thought for a few moments more, still keeping her attention focused on the two Shadows. Do I even have to ask?
Shifting her weight to her left side, Dove slipped the ruby-studded ring off her finger and threw it at one of the Shadows; it didn't matter which one, to Dove. She held her spork lightly in her other hand, waiting.
"I'm Recon, not a fighter." Dove stated impassively in way of explanation.

~Some things can't be treated so, don't make me, don't make me be myself around you~

(v~v Sorry...
Ha, of course it's got to be one of my only non-fighter charries that gets in a fight XD)

Sam yelped and leaped back to avoid the ruby. She glared at the Catcher, a growl in her throat.

Cam grumbled something under his breath, sidestepping to avoid the ruby as his sister leapt back. He crossed his arms, "A Recon, now... but you are still a Catcher, no?" he glared, a soft growl in his throat.

She was one of those annoying types, he mused. So full of herself and completely hijacked with witty comments. He loathed those kinds of people. Always had something to say but nothing ever to back it up. On the other hand, this one was quite an experienced catcher, he could tell by just her age and the way she didn’t seem to mind his presence. Oh, she knew who he was, she wasn’t stupid. Which was why her question was simply rhetorical to him. Sylas walked along the boulder, golden yellow eyes gazing down at her.

“Everyone has a Ruby. At least one, to keep away the dark creatures of the night where no light can be found. The most common spot to keep such a thing is around the neck or wrists- but there are other uses.” Sylas turned his eyes up to the trees. Small red glints were faint against the small light of the sky. The trees were ornamented with them- a sort of barrier around the spot to keep other Shadows away. It was difficult to tie them to the branches, considering he was a Shadow himself, but he did it anyways. It repelled most Shadows, since the sense of a ruby would easily scare them off. But some had no qualms with fighting someone with a ruby. Those were the ones that liked to come strolling in here, despite the fact the place was probably literally littered with Rubies.

How did he get them all? Some shadows took them from the Catchers they killed and sold them off for money or food or other items they wanted. Sylas got them this way, but he also stole them from Catchers whom tried to attack him or came here in search of a fight or caused a ruckus. Even during the day, he’d come out just to scare people away. Some thought the forest was safe when the sun was up, but it was just as dangerous as ever if you happened upon a sleeping Shadow. Especially a very easily irritated sleeping Shadow and happen to wake him up.

It was, however, beautiful here during the day. When the sun shined off those rubies and they twinkled, hidden in the leaves just do, it looked like the world around you was raining jewels in stilled life. It was only brief times he got to see that, but the light plus those jewels was also like a repellent to him, and he would rather remain in his secret little home because of the sheer nature of those two gorgeous things… He hated it. That he was like this. He cast his eyes away from the soft glints in the trees and back down to the Catcher sitting at the edge of the rocks.

“Common sense is all it is… But I know you are far from an imbecile… at least, from what you know. But I cannot say you are not foolish for coming here.” he said. Without a sound, or even perhaps a movement, he vanished just like that. It was only a few moments before he casually walked back around the rocks and sat down next to her, holding out an old wooden cup that spilled some steam from the brownish liquid inside, his cold skin warmed by the heat of the cup in his hand. He drank from his own cup, sipping some of the tea inside. “Last batch of leaves until I can buy some more.” he said simply. Why was he sharing his last cups of tea with her? He wasn’t a bad host, and she wasn’t all that terrible.

He stared up at the sky, holding the warm cup close to his pale skin and letting the warmth grace his cold body. He didn’t mind sitting here, with his enemy. They both didn’t have anything better to do, it seemed. They weren’t looking for a fight either. So one few moments of peace seemed possible between them. “Do not fret, I did not soil this tea with poison.” he said simply. Well, mostly because he couldn’t afford poison. Plus, he respected this liquid too much to do such a thing to mar it’s flavor. He took another sip of his tea, the cracked edges of the worn wooden cup touching his lips.

Dove
~There's blood on my hands like the blood in you~

"A Recon, now... but you are still a Catcher, no?"
Dove narrowed her eyes as both Shadows avoided her ring. She cursed under her breath, before glancing back to the male Shadow and answering his question.
"True. But my speciallities are in stalking and tracking, not disarming and fighting. Usually the Shadows I see either don't see me, or are already tied up and just need to answer a few questions." A small smile spread across Dove's face. Her skills ended with torture. Finding information, tracking, stalking, calling in the Tactical unit to do her dirty work, then figure out what the Shadow (or Shadows) knew.
Oh she could still fight, if she needed to. But Dove wasn't as skilled as some of the other Catchers. So only if she needed to. And almost never at close range.
"I can still fight, trust me." Dove stated quietly, nearly red eyes carefully watching the two Shadows.

“Everyone has a ruby. At least one, to keep away the dark creatures of the night where no light can be found. The most common spot to keep such a thing is around the neck or wrists- but there are other uses.”
Asphyxia nearly laughed. Rubies had dozens of uses, especially here; anything from jewelry to interrogation. And repulsion. Barely managing to hide her laugh, Asphyxia just snickered and smiled. Besides, rubies could be kept almost anywhere, you could never assume things such as that. For instance, Asphyxia had known people who insisted on wearing a ruby as a belly-ring. Rather strange people, though.
Asphyxia glanced around, following the Shadow's gaze. Tiny pinpricks of light glimmered in the trees. Not stars though. Rubies. Is he crazy?! Asphyxia thought curiously. To be a Shadow, yet live somewhere completely surrounded in your greatest weakness? If the Shadow was trying to keep nearly everyone else out, however, it was almost perfect.
“Common sense is all it is… But I know you are far from an imbecile… at least, from what you know. But I cannot say you are not foolish for coming here.”
Apshyxia just nodded, going still when the Shadow disappeared. But he soon returned, with something that looked like tea in his hand. Apshyxia took the offered glass cautiously, peering at the liquid inside. It looked ligit enough, whether the Shadow said he hadn't poisoned it or not. Apshyxia took a sid out of the cup, wincing slightly at the heat.

He knew she thought he was insane or something. Surrounding himself with rubies. Only someone wishing to die would do that. It’s true, it sapped his energy, but considering it was far enough from his main home, he could easily deal with it without being weak enough to get himself killed by hunters. But the fact was, this little barrier he created, solely out of little gems, was what also kept him contained. Some times, he just couldn’t control himself as much as he wished he could. And the fact it weakened him and repealed him to a degree kept him in check. A good thing too…

Sylas doubted she would realize this, however. She didn’t seem entirely that bright in the first place. Maybe to some degree. He lightly enjoyed his tea, staring up into the trees at the small glistening red dots. They were hard to see, and would go unnoticed if you weren’t looking into the trees looking for something in the first place. In the day time, it was much different. Those things were like brilliant red glittering stars in the tree tops. A gorgeous thing… he wished he could sit here in the daytime all day and stare at them. But him being a Shadow… it made that very difficult. The fact was, he slept all day, that was how most Shadows worked and that was how he worked.

He closed his eyes, wishing to feel the warmth of the sun, but the coolness was so much appealing to him… What time was it now? Midnight? Past midnight? He wasn’t sure. His clock had stopped working after a while, and he had little knowledge on how to fix it. Somehow, he had managed to keep it going for a long time, but then it just stopped and, no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn’t work. As his thoughts came to this, he couldn’t help but ask a simple question.

“You would not happen to know how to fix a grandfather clock, would you?” he inquired, turning his eyes to the person before him. There wasn’t often a chance that someone knew how to fix something he didn’t, let alone meet someone peacefully like this. Well.. Somewhat peacefully. Her presence was still annoying, but not to the point he’d actually run her off.

Cam's lips curled downward into a frown. "Then why did you call out to us in the first place? We could have been done our business and gone. But, no, you had to just stop us." he glowered at the Catcher, "My sister is here now, starving while you continue to hold us back."

Sam rolled her eyes, "He's right, ya know. I didn't come out last night due to the fact that I was counting my sapphires." she crossed her arms as she glared at the girl, staying where she was, due to the fact the Catcher's ruby ring was right at her feet.

"Then why did you call out to us in the first place? We could have been done our business and gone. But, no, you had to just stop us."
“It’s my job.” Dove stated simply, glaring at the two Shadows. Idiots. “And your sister is not my problem.” Dove continued, glancing briefly at the female Shadow. “Sapphires are rather pretty, aren’t they?”

“You would not happen to know how to fix a grandfather clock, would you?”
"A...what?!" A grandfather clock? Why the hell would a Shadow have a grandfather clock? Mind you, Asphyxia did have a bit of basic knowledge about certain things such as clocks. Should she mention that? Why not. "I know a bit, I guess..."
